Waiting for May in Oregon

My seeds are started and growing in a greenhouse Not sure how many of each I'll be growing. My choices are:

From Oregongreenseed.com
Blue Snowdog
Mastadon
Cindy's Blue Cheese
Amnesia Hash
Oregon Grown O.G.

From an indoor Friend:
Cinex
BlackBerry Kush
Raspberry Kush

From TGA Genetic:
Vortex
Micky Kush


Have 10 of 12 holes dug and Native soil is amended with:

The big DYI pot is about 3 feet across and 15 inches tall, soil is amended under both the bottomless pots
smaller pot is 30" across and 10 inches tall. A third not pictured is 3 feet across and 18" tall.

I'm planting whenever the weather is best sometime between May 10-20

I was chatting with the folks from OGS the other day. Very nice customer service! I can't wait try their offerings. Good luck on the grow I'll stay tuned :)

I am..I made three more from my left over materials this year. The Raspberry Kush is a Goodie..Last year Septmber kicked my ass with the most rain in recorded history in Oregon. We usually get less than .25 in for September..last year we nearly 5 inches. Threw out well over a pound of huge, fatty colas that got the rot!

Im trying to stay busy around the garden also. It seems the best way to pass time until May :)

Thanks Boss...Your recommendation of Maxsea was spot on!! If it wasn't for the F'ing rain I'd have had a bumper crop! They loved the Max!!

Yeah, Thank you so much for posting about them pots....I got a few friends using them now...We love them....
I had huge mold problems last year ass well.....sucked, not trying to think about it....
hoping for better weather this season....


also I use maxsea too...
what is your feeding schedule like?

With the soil I build, I probably could get by with no added ferts during veg..But I do EB Stone Fish Emulasion with kelp (4-1-1) every watering about a week or so after I've transplanted outdoors and every other watering I throw in 1-2 teaspoons per gallon of Plantation unsulfered Backstrap molasses. I know people get blasted for saying so, cause in my mind I know it's to feed the micro-organisms in the soil..and maybe this is a placeebo effect, but I also think it adds bulk to the buds.
Around the first week of August (or when the girls look ready) I start to phase out the Fish Emulsion and switch over to Maxsea, by Sept 1 it's only Maxsea and continue the Molasses until a week or so before harvest.

What do you do?

That's a nice looking yard there petert any idea on the plant count? It's always good to be busy in the garden, it pays off too.

I mix half happy frog with ether ffof or roots, this year I tried fox farm's new coco and green fields by roots in a a few...
I couldn't afford to but the ewc this year, so I plan on making tea...never done this before...

as for maxsea....I start feeding the all purpose about 5-6 weeks in...then mix half all purpose with half bloom (when they start to flip) after that is just bloom and molasses

I feed about 4 gallons a week for the 65's and 2 gal for the 18's.....
One heaping TBS per gal....

Are you worried about all the metals in the fish emulsion?

Right on man! I'm in Oregon also. (Oregon City/Redland area) We're digging basically the same grid you've got. Gonna have 10-20 plants outside this season. Dude, the end of the season last year was brutal. We took our plants down September 23rd. The two weeks prior to that were riddled with wind, rain and humidity. We had bud rot on the tops of most of the main colas.....sad. The wind blew an 8ft tall Cannalope Haze plant over two days before we cut them. We'd just had enough. They probably could have used at least 2 more weeks of good weather, or even decent weather. I've never heard of EB Stone. It does look pretty solid. We're going to use White Lightning from Dean's Innovations in SE Portland as our base mix ( http://www.fineroutdoorliving.com/ ). It's much much cheaper than buying almost 100 bags of Roots Organics (which i normally use for indoor). I'll add a soil conditioner of some sort to that mix, probably something like the Happy Frog Conditioner, and then some Great White Shark myccorhizae. We've dug 1 cubic yard holes.

Jimmy...I knew your moniker handle "Jimmy Conway" pretty well. I'm a life long soccer player. I like your strain mix!! Very nice. Ive grown plenty of Cinnex great strain finishes pretty early too.

I have 11 prepped holes. ..I have other interested patients who want to use me as a grower, but I'm not sure I want to grow 24 plants. Mostly because of the dry, trim, cure. I'm also helping a buddy with a legal recreational grow over in WA...500+ plants.

Damnn...First I heard of the heavy metals issue..From what I've just read up on it , it depends on the kind of fish they use.

Yeah..My Raspberry Kush coulda used at least another week and the Blue MaGoo another two weeks. Oh well. No one complained still got great bud.

Yeah..That cut and paste didn't paste the way it was on the WA State website I cut it from...

Basically is said less than .0500 Parts Per Million which stated taht Mercuray was not found at or above the minimum detection limit. Still I don't want to fuck with any chance of heavy metals...I may go to worm castings tea.
