Have I determined sex correctly?

Hi,

This is my first grow and day 5 since I switched. Is it too early to tell sex on these? I think I see one definite male and three or four females.

Plant 3 Female (bit unsure about this one).

I don't know whats up with that. Its only the upper leaves that look that way, the other plants are doing something similar but not as bad.

They moved from a 400w to a 600w and 12/12 only 5 days ago so it could be that. The 600w is in a cool tube they may have grown a bit to close so I have moved it up a bit. Could they just be stressed from the changes?

Even if they throw out Nanners that explode right now and infest your grow area with pollen [impossible to do at this time]...
You have no viable buds to catch said pollen...
So, there never is a Hermie/Male issue, if there are no buds yet....
You do not need to rush this process...

I was under the impression the pollen can spill out and sit in the tent to attach to the buds later when they are mature. Is this incorrect?

Having said that my space is fairly cramped so the sooner I can get males out the better.

That's correct, however, you've got plenty of time to identify AND remove them before they mature and start "shooting their loads"....so to speak.

The one's you think are female could just be new leaves/branch starting. At least that's what mine did. At first I got all excited cause i thought they were female and a few days later it was apparent they were just leaves growing at the nodes.

Limited space is a good reason... Hurrying this phase just to get the damn males out of there is not needed...
I'd watch them grow, a little more... so...
NEXT TIME-you can be the one understanding what will happen next, and you will be the one giving the advice to wait....

These are the same plants 1 and 4 that I thought where females a few days ago pictured above. I'm not as certain as I was with that other male.

Of the remaining 2 at least one has white hairs so I got one lady at least .

This one has a lot of single balls. The rest of my (many) males have been a cluster of balls.

From a sexing guide:

One ball is not definitive since female pistils sometimes split from a small single ball that opens. But two or three balls in a cluster is sure confirmation that you have a male.

Is that what is happening here or do I have another male?
