Hoping RIU members from SE US are staying safe

I'm not sure.. it has been windy as hell all day here between 39N-40N and I was without power the majority of the day. My pear tree completely snapped in half but luckily it has a shoot growing out of the base.
I'm glad that I don't live any further west or south because I just saw that they have tornado warnings now.
 
I thought the storms had already reached my area but boy was I wrong. The winds are twice as strong as before and the lightning is like a Pink Floyd laser show.
 
monday night i woke up to about a half dozen booming sounds in a 4-5 second span with each boom sounding closer than the last and comming straight towards me. i thought it was a tornado and it really scared the crap out of me but it must have just been thunder.
 
few little thunderstorms early this morning, nothing major. Rain guage had less than a 1/4" in it....How 'Bout them 'EERS !!!!!!
 
Love the Mounties but ever since they've went from the Big East to the Big 12 they haven't been winning like they used to. It's gona take some time to get used to the new conference and they need to start recruiting better players but I'll always be a fan for sure.

That's crazy. Luckily the strongest part of the storms was a little north of me. I just got a great view of the lightning and some strong winds.

i think it was dannyboy, gonna be swimming down in the basement a bit later today, think i'll do a few laps before i hit the showers..
oh well, i guess it could always have been much worse..

i'm exagarrating a bit dannyboy, actually i'm a bit afraid to go and open the door and go down and look, but i'm pretty sure we'll be getting some heavy water for sure..
we pretty much try and keep everything up off of the floors just for this reason..
 
its just been raining since monday..if it rains more than 2 days the basement gets wet...sun shining in d.c...hope it is still out when i get to jersey:-)

It'll take time for sure, and I doubt that winning starts with beating Alabama first game !!!

You're right Alabama will more than likely whoop their ass.. but hopefully they learn from it. If they keep losing I don't see Holgorson around too much longer.
