Purple strain that actually turns purple?

Wow, makes me sad to smoke such beautiful looking weed to not get ripped. But there is a time and place for everything and daytime schoolwork or work and getting couchlocked can be the end of your day hahahaha.

You guys have some beautiful looking plants!

Usually has some flavor to it too, I like to have a little grape or citrus for the day and some good ol OG or the cookies for night time. Takes so damn long to harvest a round I am waiting patiently to try the 9 new flavors :D. I have 4 different headband phenos, tahoe og, critical og, sugar black rose all coming down soon. I am having such a hard time being patient.

I just chucked some pollen a few weeks ago.... I hit an OG Kush x Plushberry (m), OG Kush x Gods OG (m), OG Kush x Purple Diesel (m), and GSC crossed with the same males.... I ought to get a potent ass purple strain out of there somewhere!

I've got a pack of the Killing Fields F4 in the seed tin. How would you compare it to Sugar Punch? Been thinking about running those for a while now......

I like Sugar Punch more based on what I've found, but it's less functional during the day than my good KF pheno. When my tolerance is down KF makes me giggle like a school girl. If it's up it tends to be more clear headed and good day time. My biggest gripe I'd say is I build tolerance quicker to it than I do to SP.

I would imagine this would be a highly criticized response, but I have had numerous strains that I exposed to cold (65f or a little less) during night cycles a week or so preceding harvest), along with a cold, extended dark period after harvest, and had if not purple tinges, full blown deep purple develop. This happened in White Lightning (White Widow x Northern Lights), purple elephant (ummm urkle and big bud? not sure but a nice plant), train wreck, and blueberry. They could all have some disposition toward that and the cold just helped it along. It kind of starts to develop in the fan leaves and gradually into the flower....or out of the flower. I don't know why and haven't looked into it. The cold was accidental, unavoidable, or too economical to pass up in all cases. I do not believe there is a change in the quality, but there is certainly a change in the visual appeal to a lot of people (myself included).
I can't imagine why anyone would criticize fact. Lowering the temps is a great way to get purple buds. Dj short talked about it in a video somewhere but I have experienced this with my own strains. This was grown outdoors where the temps got down to 40's Nice & Fat strain
