Ive seen lights made from a lot of different materials on here. I think this is probably one of the most versatile, user friendly, and cheap ways to construct light assemblies. The sheet pans can be ordered perforated like I used or as solid aluminum. It gives you a ton of surface area both on top and underneath for mounting. I used small self tapping sheet metal screws and standard drywall screws for all the mounting. Make sure the one you order has a steel rod in the rolled edge to prevent warping. They cost about $8 for half size 18"x13" or about $14 for full size at 18"x26". The one I built is a full size perforated pan bought off Amazon for $13 and shipped free. Its a total of 5 CXA3070s with MeanWell LCP 60 1400s. Nothing else really unique on the build, all standard stuff that has been listed on here in other threads.
