A lot of people are talking about the idea that "black friday" is racist. I was hoping we could have a discussion here, but it appears there is nothing but intolerance towards the feelings of minorities. We can discuss whether or not the Redskins name is racist, but not when it comes to "blacks"? Just because someone put a spin on it in the 80's attributing it to accounting, doesn't mean its origins aren't much darker, pardon the pun. Everyone in the hood knows that in the 70's food stamps flooded the ghettos for Thanksgiving so the poor (blacks at the time) could eat well too. They traded them for cash and went Christmas shopping immediately while they had the "free" money. The retailers quickly saw the trend and started having sales to attract all of the "easy money" spenders and things escalated from there. If you think a bunch of tight ass corporation CEOs didn't sit around a fire sipping their Scotch and coined the phrase "black friday" reffering to all of the blacks on their shopping spree, you have zero imagination, and are very closed minded. It's racist in its roots.

I was just watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade just now and could not help but think of you. Not only is it tasteless but it is also clearly racist. I could only watch a couple of minutes before my teeth started to hurt, but I was lucky enough to see the McDonalds float. In my humble opinion, Ronald McDonald is clearly a white-ified black man from the era of "shucking and jiving"; he always has been. But they are trying a new look out on him now - far more spacy and futuristic. He now looks more like a Hunger Games Uncle Tom. He has this strange synthetic hair now and he drives around in a giant clown shoe.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! There are a few in the community who agree with that 100%, but how do you take on McDonalds? Clearly Mayor McCheese is the plantation owner, Grimace is a large Southern slave, purple black from the hot Summer sun, trying to get some food from the master, the Hamburgler, Capt. Crook, etc., too obvious, and the rest of the little slaves trying to steal some food, while that Uncle Tom Ronald denies them. Any corporation that has black only commercials for black areas of the country should be exposed for the bigots they are, and we should have a discussion about separate but equal.
