I'm guessing it's free like health care SUBSIDEEZ. Much like those SUBSIDEEZ, they never have to be paid for, by anyone...ever. Who cares? Unfunded liabilities aren't real anyways, right?

Goddamn, life is grand in Progressive fantasyland.

Are you seriously that silly? Nothing is free; somebody has to pay. Even the "Magic Negro" said as much.

What you should have said; "more redistribution" is on the way ... ; dems attempting to buy votes.
Yeah, somebody will pay up front. But then again, once that college grad begins working they will undoubtedly start paying more taxes as a result of a higher income for the rest of their life.

Everybody wins.

So you going to bitch about ROTC and other military programs that essentially do the same thing?
My roommate in college was in the national guard in the 9th year of working on his degrees.
Even got per diem and His books paid for

Essentially do the same thing? I don't think you have a clue about ROTC scholarships or acceptance into a service academy. You have to earn a ROTC scholarship, they don't just hand them out.

Eight years of military service for four years of tuition and it doesn't cover room & board or books at most schools. Does that sound the same to you? It's a tremendous commitment.

My 18 year old son is waiting to find out if he's going to West Point, VMI, The Citadel or Norwich. We've spent the last few months knee deep in the process.

the details are irrelevant, anything after the headline is TL;DR

Government "free" (cough cough) education is the 10 th plank of the Communist manifesto.

Free? Ha ha ha ha ha, no really, ha ha ha ha ha.
To Obama it's free cos he won't be paying for it, lol.

It'll be interesting to try see him get it passed through the new congress.

This is another example of Obama's extremely poor execution of a good idea...why not pay for EVERYONE to go to college/university with the proviso that certain ensuing careers (doctors, teachers, etc that are expensive to train) then have to serve a certain period working for the State?

The State gets paid back indirectly by having more staff available and then higher tax revenues from these newly educated people's higher paying jobs.

Wasn't that the plot of the TV show Northern Exposure?

I went to a trade school over twenty years ago and most students that were there that had their school paid by the government were at the bottom of the class or flunked out. So free doesn't really work to good in my opinion.

I find this hard to believe.
