Is it a cheque? or credits to an LP? Either way, if there's a cash incentive, somewhere down the line it encourages positive reviews, whether real or not. Especially if negative reviews get swept away. Sounds like a self serving system, once you add in the LP affiliation. Happy reviews =$$$$, therefore an abundance of positive reviews, warranted or not.
Want a good example? How many people have attended a sporting event and signed up for a free credit card you always see people shilling, which you know you're going to cancel as soon as you get , just to get some free merch on the spot for signing up. Never wanted the credit card, just the reward.
