opinions on when you would harvest

I recommend that you wait to see all the fan leaves turn to yellow and fall by themselves, all fruiting plants use the energy in their leaves to make their fruits in the final stage :-) Just wait and see the change....

Just after sum opinions as to when u would chop these girls down
Heres my 3x3 with 600hps

And my 8x4 600hps 600mh and 300w led
They look really close but hard to say for sure without seeing the trichromes

Keep a close eye on the trichromes and harvest when you see your desired ratio of amber/milky/clear

IMHO....no need to flush

That's why plants go yellow in autumn, to make fruits, not lack of nutrients... All the energy stored during summer is used to make tasty fruits... They are not starving, they are already killing themselves for the next generation towards the end of the flowering cycle :-)

I agree with budman the only reasone it turns yellow is lack for nutrient because ir starving ur girls when u flush
i agree that your plants should be yellow before harvest the natural cycle is for the plant to die and use everything it got stored up nitrogen delays flower imo so u want a ugly yellow looking come harvest

In nature the thc has degraded by the time the leaves yellow, take a apple tree for example by the time the leaves are yellow and falling off the apple is rotted so with that being said if u want the highest amount of thc go by trichomes not yellow leaves or pistils ive had a plant with a shit load of white pistils but trichomes were 30% amber

U must be mistaken with ur information because it depends on what strain he has if the leaves will yellow or not and since all other signs are pointing to the plant being a few weeks from harvest like the pistils are shriveled and changing color for the last time the caylx are swelling and trichomes are producing thc, with all that id say his strain is not going to yellow unless he starved them. soo!! Imo he needs to just watch trichomes

yes always watch trichomes but he should give it a flush in around 2 weeks imho and flushing will show the plant using everything it has available to push into the last swell hoping to attract some pollen to reproduce before it dies
