Any upgrades over stock T5?

I'm running two Sun Blaze 2' x 4 bulb T5HO fixtures.

Are there any bulbs that are better than the bulbs that came with these?
I'm vegging now. What bulb is recommended, if any, to switch to during flower production?

I'd like to know, too. However, I've read a little and shopped some, but I've come to believe that the less expensive 3000K for flower and 6500K for veg will be fine. I'm no expert in this regard but I'm a willing learner. I'm only doing the lights for seedlings and starts, though. I'm an outdoor grower in dirt, but I'm starting to think about a full indoor grow. As with any hobby, one can spend as much as they want. I'm frugal (cheap), that's why I go with T5's.(I haven't grown under lights for 25 years). I have a 2'x12 lamp grow light in a 3'x3' tent, though I don't need the full 12 lamps, I might take something to full bloom sometime, when I will want them. This helps alleviate the "post partum blues" I get after harvest in October. I grow much more than cannabis.

Mix it up. One particularly experienced contributor on here that grows with T5 is RM3. From what I have learned is a mix of bulbs with different wavelengths can be better than having bulbs of all the same.

You are correct. There was a guy on this forum who did extensive research into different bulbs and I am running the following recommended by him. Love the results. Looking to add some UV to the mix soon. Also good luck finding UVL Redsuns they are know where to be found.

He did suggest those bulbs and I am still using them.

I actually just came here for the first time in a while to see if there were any new T5 bulb recommendations...I guess not?

I've heard that "powerVeg" T5HO is the latest and greatest. They have 4' bulbs now with 2' coming out soon. I think Hortilux makes them. A Google search should reveal then.

I'm wondering what the 2 footers will cost when they come out. My stock T5HO bulbs did fine for my early vegging. I'm not sure if the extra cost is worth it but who knows?

I have read the threads about mixed spectrum but I want someone to provide a side by side comparison with clones comparing yield and thc/cannabinoid levels. I personally don't see the difference really justifying the extra cash on bulbs since they need to be replaced ever 3 grows or so. 2900k and 6500k is good enough for me

I've heard of people doubling the ballist's up on one t5, anyone of you guys heard of this?
