1st grow, CFL, Aurora Indica 2 plants

its mainly down to strain, Indica strains are typically shorter plants with big broad leaves, and sativa are longer plants with those skinny leaves.

but there are also differences between strains of the same type, i picked Aurora Indica for its short size, easier to light with fewer CFL's.

just moving this post to the new page...

thanks for the comments guys, wouldnt normally post new pics so fast but im bored so i'd take some pics from some different angles n stuff.

i also finished my 2nd ghettoflector, i'll wait till ive installed them before i take more pics tho.

first off, a pic of both the girls together, with a penny for size comparison.

athena on the left, demeter on the right.

dont worry about the discolouration on the leaves in these next 2 pics, its just the relfection from the mylar out of shot from the CFL's, the leaves arnt that colour!

ALL COMMENTS WELCOME :peace:

just tucked the girls in for the night, i didnt notice before but theyve now got the most gorgeous citrus smell! that must be a good sign :weed:

You could cover the black tape with white masking tape and you might have been able to glue stick or double side taped the mylar to the hood but not sure. The horticultural myalr they sell at grow shops online are thick and sturdy in a roll but damn those things are expensive! The mylar blankets are cheap but they wiggle so much. It's almost just as good to use flat white posterboard than have the wiggle although posterboard gets damp and funky. Hhhhmmmm.....anyways really looking forward to seeing that light fixture in action. I am still convinced that having both spectrums of light during the whole plant's life cycle is healthier but that is just my opinon. Your herbs look sweet dude! I really want to see how they turn out if they are really that blue dream color in all those pics.

great nodal spacing shots, thought id share one with you i got last night, this is the spacing after she was bent, nodes shot off the side

shes my biggest

thanks for the comments guys, appreciate it!

through the blood sweat and tears, and sheer determination i have managed to install the 2 ghettoflectors!

dont worry about the distance to the plants, its easily manipulated to different hights:

Beautiful mammal - love those pics :)

cheers dude. checked on them this morning, they seem to appreciate the new lights! athenas node growth has exploded and demeter looks ready to FIM (i'll probably do it tonight.)

just watered them with their first nutes, only a quarter of the recommended amount, they didnt look like they needed it but just wanted to top them up a bit. im going away for 5 days at the end of next week, really not looking forward to leaving them that long without any water or my TLC!

 Whoa those are some crazy CFL's. I like them.

yea theyre cool, theyre specificly for growing. they look kinda dull there cos they were only on 10 minutes in those pics, theyre actually very bright!

just fim'd demeter, ive left an extra pair of fan leaves on her because hers arnt nearly as big as her sisters, so i thought she would want the extra help :D

dont know about the lumens, but they are 150w's about £15 each ($30?) and theyre red spectrum 2700k's cos i'll be starting to flower in about 2 weeks time.

thanks for the interest!

i think they put out about 1300 lumens but im not sure
and are those the lights that go easy on your power bill?
i cant wait to try indoor, just 2-4 plants like yourself for the first try
