I'm not talking about the ghetto or a place where you may get stabbed or cut for looking at the wrong person.

All my experiences are mainly in small town canada, where people tend to be nice to strangers. Minnesota people are friendly as hell.

I've found the rudest people to be in rich areas. GTA have some snobby folks.

I'm not talking about the socially awkward people. There's a clear difference in being uncomfortable talking to strangers and being outwardly rude to them.

This situation could hold true for restaurants or waiting in line in the grocery store or at a doctors office. Alcohol need not be involved.

I just like friendly people.

Usually just people pretend they don't hear you say hello or give you a bitch face. Most are happy to shoot the shit, in my experience.

Don't disreagard bitch face. At first glance may look like ill intent, but I suffer from RBF. (resting bitch face) and when my face is in its normal, relaxed position I look mad. I'm not though.

How about: ( and this woman actually did this right next to me in a bar)

Twit: "This guy keeps buying me drinks… I wonder if he thinks it will get him laid?"
Me: probably. "You should buy him a round."
Twit (turns to twat in one sentence): "Why would I do that? He's so shitfaced he doesn't even realize how much booze he's buying for me AND my friends.."

the only time i accepted a drink from someone was when , this asshole in a club (of course always gotta be a damn club) like rammed into me and spilled my drink everywhere
i said ..."are you going to pay for that ?"
and he came back with a new one.

wasnt fair i just bought it from the fucking bar, he didnt need to be horsing around in a packed club all drunk ...those drinks are fucking expensive at clubs.

Word. When I was single I didn't let anyone (men or women) buy me a drink unless I could buy the next. A LOT of women bought me drinks LOL I have woman ju ju.
