If my kid took apart my alarm clock I'd beat his ass? So what do you do, beat your children over something as stupid as that? You're a wonderful parent [/sarcasm]. No, I'd never do that.

Now, let's take a look at what innovation means.

Innovate (verb): make changes in something established, especially by introducing new methods, ideas, or products.

So taking an alarm clock out of its existing, established casing, and putting it into a new box which is another product? Is innovative by the definition of the word. Especially for a fourteen year old kid. He's not an adult, we should try to promote this sort of curiosity and experimentation because who knows he might go on to actually build things.

Have fun yelling at the sky.

I don't think we should promote this at age 14. I was Innovating more creatively at age 10 than this kid. He intentionally built something he knew could be mistaken for a bomb. That was intention. As to all the right wingers jumping on Obama. Relax. No way in hell this kid will ever get a tour of the white house

At the very least, it appears that this Clock Happy Kid will go to the White House...he may get a tour, he may yet meet with Obama...we will see.
