Using sun and light?

I've been growing a plant in a one gal pot indoors using a single 23 w lamp. I transplanted it into a 3 gal pot and put it outside but I don't want it to go into flower so I want to leave it in the sun and bring it in at night under that same 23 w lamp regardless of how big it gets.

Since it will be getting hours of sunlight everyday, will a single 23 w bulb still keep it healthy and in veg?

I could do two 23 w bulbs but if it doesn't make a difference (I don't care about it growing faster I just don't want it to flower) I will just use the one lamp.

So will this all work?

Yes, it will prevent flowering...the growth will not be optimal, but...two bulbs as close as possible will be better...

I would keep it under 24 hours of light...never let it have a dark period and you will be good.

Best of luck!

keeping it inside under a 23w is not enough to grow anything, but will stop her falling to bud, should you wanna build a cfl array to my blog:

https://www.rollitup.org/Journal/Entry/a-collection-of-diy-ghetto-blasters.30154/ of the members cfl blasters should you consider

avoid using the 24/7 light method, all living creatures need a rest gugle for carbon exchange will reveal that, understand that as you enter fall there will be less light at that window

Sorry, but I have used 24 hours without any deleterious effects for over three decades, it is my preferred indoor veg light regimen.
Works for me...that is the beauty of this hobby...find what works best for you.
If that were my plant that is what I would do.

Keep it under the sun as much as possible...this will maximize growth...your puny CFLs will not assist or accelerate growth, but they will arrest the onset of flowering.
When you are ready to flower, give the plant as much direct sunlight as possible, supplement this with CFLs for a total of twelve hours of light...then make certain that the plant enjoys 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness until harvest...
Good luck!
