Does anyone know where I can buy cultured solutions nutrients in Canada?

No Canadian distributors, I used it for a year in their under current system. Very expensive, in my opinion not worth the money.

Their uc roots product is apparently unique in the way they stabilize the acid. Supposedly nothing keeps the pythium away like that. I have battled the rot with teas with pretty good success, I would just rather avoid the whole mess tho.
Also, trying to replicate these results:

Itsmehigh: do you remember what you paid in shipping? And what is the shelf life since they use no preservatives?

water less and less often,
new roots will grow right out of the old slimy, dead brown ones.
keep your shit clean after each use.

you wont have to deal with Pyth this way. but dont take my word for it.

What do you mean by water less and less often? I am not watering. It's rdwc.

lol oh...in that case

watch your temps...make sure you have great circulation/aeration ..... watch you temps... :)

make sure you have head space!!!

dont use peroxide either.

keep things clean in between uses

best way to prevent the pyth, is to use ro water, and once a week flush with H2O2. Sanitation is key with dwc. You need to run a sterile system for best results. Keep your water temp below 60*, and air stones are your friend. I've also had good results running SM 90 as a preventative.

For the price you will pay for CC, it's just not worth it.

H2O2 is way too expensive and it needs to used daily. It can also damage fine secondary roots if used too strong.

Some forms of bacteria can pass right through RO membranes/filter. Its not a guarantee..

Cool water helps but you still might need a sterilizing agent or bennies.

A good ro system will filter down to .0001 microns. Most bacteria is .2 to 2 microns in size with pythium being a pathogen at 5-10 microns. Using a ro system is highly recommended in dwc, its your best defence against the pyth.

I use h2o2 every day for the last 10 years, never an issue with burning roots, if used properly. H2o2 is my snake oil, I recommend it over any over product
I use, it's very versatile and has many applications.

There's plenty of people using RO that still get pythium. So either your numbers are wrong or they just bought a cheap RO rig? IMO, RO is a waste of money because it does not guarantee a clean system.

I use to use H2O2 for some time, but I found a much cheaper and more effective agent.....

Isn't 60f a tad on the cold side? I always read to keep between 65-69. And yes I also heard of people using ro that still get the rot. I love dwc for the fact that the plant only takes what it needs, and I've still hit great numbers even after a bout with the pyth.
And as for their feed chart it is ridiculous. I've never run that high using dwc

whats your secret sauce?

pythium is tricky it only takes 1 drop of infected water to cause issues. There is no magic bullet, but starting with pure sanitized water will greatly increase your success. With the addition of H2o2 to your filtered water will only increase your success. Cross contamination is most likely the cause of infection. Simply rincing off your tester with tap water, then useing the tester in your ro water could contaminate it. Good housekeeping and a sterile environment is key. An ounce of provention with worth a pound of cure. You must be pro active with pyth, don't wait until you get it to start fighting it.

Current cultures feed chart is actually really low...I feed rooted clones what they suggest for peak flower. I've tried running Canna that low but always ends up deficient or necrosis.
