Is this one ready to be topped?

First I've heard of and a lot of grower's seem to post pictures of their plants with some kind of support.

Could you link me to a resource that backs up this information my own Google-Fu has failed me.

I suppose it could be argued that a ScrOG screen is supporting the plant. I've also seen huge buds that have to be supported so they don't break off the stems. A stiff breeze will also ruffle the leaves enough to allow some light to filter into the lower canopy.
I have heard of but never used a silica ammendment that is supposed to make the stems stronger to help support bigger flowers.
I've had plants falling over after a long germination and 2-3 days after putting a fan on them they were standing at attention. Really, if the issue is whether or not to have a fan on your plants, there shouldn't even be a question...

I know about using a fan but this says nothing about not putting supports on your stems.

I did, they just say plants that were bent by wind were stronger than those who didn't.

You said supporting the stem would weaken it but I can't find anything to suggest what you originally said is correct.

Yes, you're right in that a gentle breeze or bending your stems can strengthen them but so far it seems the assertion that a support will weaken the steam seems to be false.

I just started a new thread under general growing.

Not to start an argument here but I am sure it's going to happen
Myth: Fans don't make plants stronger

As for propping it up, just put a stick next to it and put a twist tie around it, don't tie it tight at all.
Yes, you can top it. It will bounce back in a few days.
