Is this a calyx?

First time grower and I have 4 plants(strains unknown) that are day 4 of flower. Could these possibly be early calyx? Next to the stipules

Looks a little too early to tell bro. Let them go another week and you should start seeing more tell take signs. Once you see a single or two white hairs growing from the calyx you know for sure.

3-7 days and you'll know.
How long did they veg? If you let them mature, you can tell sex in veg. 3 months about from my experience.

All 4 showed there sex yesterday. Pistols on all of them. 4 fem

Are they bagseed? 99.9% of bagseed is going to be female, likely with some hermaphroditic trait's, because something hermied in the room next to the bud you (theoretically) got seeds out of.

Yeah its bag seed unfortunately. This is my first grow and didn't go the smart route. Next grow will have all the bells and whistles

I've grown out bagseed, I have a couple strains now that are, but they're seedlings. I've had bagseed do better than regs from a seed bank.
In the past, I've done well with bagseed. Never had a hermie until this cycle, and I'm using regulars! But I stressed out my shit with high heat for a grip.
Make sure heat and light leaks are in check, you'll be cool.

I believe what you were looking at is called a bract. Sort of a half-leaf-half-flower.

1 looks like a calyx. 2 looks more like a ball
