Whats up folks. I thought to stop by and contribute to the T5 thread. At this time Im using an 'Apollo' 4ft 4 tube fixture. In the fixture only two tubes are working. I have an electical ballast for a 4ft 4 bulb 54 ho t5 fixture coming made by sylvania at $33. Than i can reset my inside tubes. Also 6 45w 6500k spirals and 4 23w 2700k spirals to add lighting putting the grow area at 33,200 lumens with the two outside tubes. Another two tubes will put it at 43,200 lumens to finish off veg. Then ill be adding another 125w lamp totalling out about a lil over 50,000 lumens for flower. Heres a few pics. But the ultimate goals is to come out with a few 'Bad Boy' T5 fixtures. And set up my cloning and mother plant flow. Peace and good growing to all. Bag Seed Grow.IMG_20160614_161700.jpg IMG_20160614_161712.jpg IMG_20160614_161729.jpg

Well just realize that your T5 tubes are about 25% efficient while 600W HPS is closer to 35%.

HPS is a much better grow lamp.
That is an old stat. T5 efficiency has risen to. I read an article the other day that stated that t5 is on par with single ended hid. Pretty close to it.

Negligible difference. Plus an hid fades faster than t5 and will lose up to 50%.

A t5 will lose 10% max.

Do you not know how to read you keep talking flowering about my veg tent lol I have a 3x3 with a 315 cmh for flower .........

As for watts go back and read I have already posted this and exactly what bulbs I am running if you're so interested in being an ass do some of your own leg work ..........
I see buds in your "veg tent"

I couldn't care less if you want to fail and yield puny pathetic plants, but I will warn other noobs of those expected results. Your picture could easily be used as an example. Btw, you still didn't answer how much wattage that was.

Noobs with common sense should realize that someone being dick has little relevance to the results of following that dick's advice. T5's will produce garbage results in flowering compared to HPS.

What's so surprising to me is how you expect everyone to sit back and let this nonsense train ride without anyone opening their mouths to express how stupid it is. (and it's pretty fucking stupid. You're willing to pay more than HPS for crappier results. There's a reason HPS is considered the standard flowering lamp)
You can't say that. I seen your grow. Its a nice grow.

We could post pics and let people vote.

I won't release your pics though. No matter the argument I won't do a person that way.

If you read that right I would wager my t5 buds against some peoples hid grow.

How many watts were you using? I believe we were both growing in a 4v2. I don't think it's fair to compare my 240W to your ??? W? I have other results I don't have pictures of from my 193W version of the same grow and got 310g in a 4'x2'. To me, it's a ridiculous comparison.

You wouldn't even tell us what lamp you would hypothetically buy if you were going to do this experiment. What kind of crap is that? Here we are talking about specific lamps we think are better and your way to prove it's not true is to get some mystery garbage and compare that? Bullshit. If you're going to do a comparison, do it right. We want to see things like datasheets... numbers... etc... not "a flood light" which tells us absolutely nothing.
because your numbers mean nothing to me, I never use numbers, I use plant response as my only indicator.

In 3rd grade I was reading and understanding college literature books. In 4th grade they tested me and said I had an IQ of 169. In 8th grade I completed ALL of my high school math courses with an A average. Enrolling in 9th grade I asked if I could do it with all my high school courses, they said no I quit and took the GED test missed 3 questions without studying. At 19 I joined the AirForce took the ASVAB test and not only did I finish it with hours to spare but only missed 2 questions. Got hauled into a bird colonels office and offered any job I wanted 8) Never went to school for electronics, all self taught and the state actually awarded me a college degree based on experience after I passed a single test. When I had my shop in KC, the NFL brought me their cameras, as I was the only guy in KC that could fix em.

Say what you like, hell think what you like but as I already said you are truly clueless

It's all starting to make sense now. It's a shame you didn't stay in school. (so much potential lost due to the arrogant attitude of a little bratty kid).

For someone with an IQ of over 160 (bullshit lie), you sure did underachieve.
yeah some folks think that way but looking at it I figured why waste 4 years for shit I already knew LOL and they said it, I have always ignored it, once again a number that doesn't mean much. Hell even my prison file folder had a big red stamp on it that said caution extreme intelligence LOL

Your thoughts, opinions and post will never bother me brother like I said I actually enjoy em 8)

Hey RM3, what did you get in differential equations? You took that in middle school, right? I got an A. What did you get in chemistry? I got over 100 on my final exam in undergrad chemistry.

I don't remember all the scores, I had a math teacher that was doin his phd dissertation on a new teaching method, I was one of the guinea pigs in his study

The camera used by the NFL ,,,,,,, can you fix one???
.

Probably. I can fix just about anything. I can solder better than people with 30+ years experience. Not sure why that matters. I'm also good at video games. Who cares. These days, a lot more is expected out of workers. Back 20 years ago, you were thought of as as genius for hooking a cable up to the back of a cable box. Now you can be an expert in 7 programming languages and platforms, have the ability to design digital and analog electronics, and still be seen as a dummy.

You are the one that said it was sad ? I actually enjoy fixin shit as much as I enjoy gardening
Yes, me too, but for someone with an IQ of what you're claiming, you should be a super engineer at NASA designing the next space exploration technologies, not bragging about how you dropped out of highschool because of how smart you are.

All that stuff they offered didn't interest me I prefer to make my own path. I do have a few inventions I've made, but never sold em, hell one I never even shared LOL

Have you considered getting a job at Apple manufacturing camera phones in a factory? It's a lucrative living, I know, and so few qualified children... i mean technicians!

See how much the world respects technicians? I bet they're getting the big bucks.

(no more technicianing for me unless I absolutely must put food on the table and there's no other way. The pay is way too low. What better way to ruin your future than to put a bunch of technician experience on your resume... with HR's keyword based employee filters... good luck)
