I don't think that someone who is wearing $280,000 earrings can truly understand what 90% if Americans go through. When was the last time any of the candidates had to chose between food or prescritions? Between gas for work and food?

My HOUSE cost $40,000 (midwest in the middle of nowhere). I could have bought 7 of them for the cost of her jewelry.

Well.... I doubt Edith Roosevelt, Maime Eisenhower, Jaqueline Kennedy, Laura Bush or any of the other first ladies from well to do families really understood/stand the struggles of the average American either.

I just don't think the price tag of her outfit and jewelry should be an issue; she paid for it she's entitled to wear it. Besides... she's not running for office... her hubby is.... so I don't see how her jewelry is relevant in the political arena.

First of all... that is NOT part of the article... that came from a COMMENT posted by some person in response to the article... most likely a democrat grasping at straws.

As to "Cindy's beer".... well Hensley & Co. (her family's business) is a DISTRIBUTOR of Anheuser-Busch beverages....READ...... NOT THE MAKER OF THE BEER... but the distributor... or middle man if you will.

Getting pissed off at her family company is about as stupid as someone who hates Taco Bell being pissed off at the trucking company that delivers their crappy food from the factory to the store.... not exactly the same thing... but close enough for argument sake.

What I have done can not even hold a candle to what Cindy has done, who I am, or you, to judge her? My mother is not rich by any means, but she has nice jewelry she dawns for special occasions, not 300,000k worth but its nice jewelry. I don't hate on the rich because they are rich, and I don't care what they spend their money on, it helps the economy the more they spend, the less they spend hurts. As far as him listing off blue collar people he wanted to help I believe its genuine, he learned compassion for his fellow americans in his POW camp.

Exactly the point. People of priveledge know not about the struggles of us everyday lifers. McCain came from priveledge and so did Cindy. Obama came from a single parent home, was raised by his grandmother and Michelle had a father that supported her and her brother by going to work on crutches after his medical condition got bad. No real wealth there. Now who do you suppose would be more inclined to help the poor of our society? Not with handouts, but hand ups. Right, Obama.
