I'm not saying it makes a difference, but if it's gonna be discussed it should at least be discussed accurately.

I'm not saying they do, racism and disproportionate enforcement are rife throughout the police force in this country, and even if they don't do it consciously, it would hardly surprise me that even Black officers are somewhat indoctrinated into the narrative and act upon the same racist assumptions that are drilled into them by their superiors.

It could. My understanding of their defense/explanation is that the APD requires a female officer to fully search a female suspect (I think it said male officers are allowed to use the back of their hands to do a pat down but that's it) and that is how they accidentally put her into the back seat while she was still in possession of a firearm. It seems like a lot of mistakes had to be made for that scenario to happen though, and I doubt they are telling us the whole story. Whenever there is "missing" footage I always smell foul play.

They are asking me to believe that she slipped out of her handcuffs, had a gun in the backseat with her, fired 3 shots at the pigs who were sitting in the front seat and hit NO ONE from point blank range, the cops get out of the car and BEFORE they return fire they order her to drop the gun. the movie "The Naked Gun" is based on a less ridiculous premise.

So the story can be legit also it is likely it would have been a little .22 caliber pistol which can get stuck in a seat if it hits metal. I'm also sure after the first shot the cop swerved a lot and she couldn't get a good shot off.

But who knows maybe the dash cam audio will tell the story better.
