between these two panels, which would be better?

Good morning, I am in doubt which of the two investing, I'm the short money, so I can not invest in a really good panel as a blackdog.

Between these two, the Amazon has many positive reviews, but the other seems very interesting too, I would love to hear from you guys!

Thank you so much!

Lotta of people used viparspectra with good results. But you should buy this if anything. This uses actual Cree COBS at least.

Thanks for your suggestion! i have seen this too

DOMINATOR 800W COB LED

This "COB" Leds are really that good compared to the traditional ones?

Thanks guys!
That is bullshit China cobs. The only one on amazon worth buying is the one I posted, or a GoGreenLED. You want cobs by CREE, Citizen, or BridgeLux.

But the Gogreen you wanna buy direct from his website www.gogreenled.com
And use the coupon code RIU 15 for a discount. It's a bit more $$$ though.

Just get the roleadro if you want a good light. And yes, cobs REALLY ARE that much better.
Thank you friend! I will follow your suggestion and invest in Roleado, will make the purchase in the next week there if anyone else has an opinion to add I am very grateful!

Edit: My tent is 40"x40"x80", I want to cultivate 4 autoflowering plants, will be a panel of these Roleado is enough or will I need some additional to suport?
Thanks

What is your budget? There are a few guys here making panels with better cobs and coverage for that size space.
Thanks for the answer!!

I would like to spend about $ 200 U at most, you can tell me which reliable users are carrying out these projects? I can try to contact them

At that budget you may have to stick to amazon. I think the guys here all start around 300 for quality fixtures.but maybe @CobKits can build you a couple custom light engines for 2 bones that are plug n play.@ 300 you have northern grow lights and maybe a small johnson lol,i can't believe I said that .then @ 400 you have a few more options .the thing with those cheaper 200 Chinese leds is yes, they will grow pot.but you will be looking to upgrade on your second run so why not spend a few more and get something built like a tank ie @robincnn cheapest panel.
I dont know much about roleado or whatever so maybe they are fine.
Diy is getting really fun and easy with all these guys here giving us lots of options to choose from.you could build a really nice light for 300 to 350 and configure it to fix your specific grow space.

Has anybody reported yield anywhere other than the .3g/W @Olive Drab Green reported? Because if you are going to recommend "Mars Hydro, but cheaper" you should have a really good reason to do so. I'd love to see them matching HPS per watt for yield, but the burden is on the cheapass light there.

Your Roleadro is a 100W light for $180. Viparspectra is a 200W light for $149. Which were you recommending again? That's a big difference in output to overcome with efficiency.

I'm just asking honest questions here. I don't have a $150 recommendation except "not LED". HPS performance is something I am very comfortable recommending.

Those are introductory cobs. I too, purchased amazon "cobs" and did mad research and realized I made a mistake! Sent em all back. Ordered 400+ watts of genuine cobs, diy. I feel like a god walking into my room, with my hand built, perfectly spec`d lights. I did spend about 3.5x more but all top quality stuff! Whichever light u choose, yyou could always use it to veg. Later on, when you catch the bug.

some more food for thought...

would i be better off with a stand alone Viparspectra 600W LED system, or a CFL mashup with 6 23 watt 6500k, 5 23w 2700k, and 1 cheapo LED grow light with 660,630,and 460nm outputs? the CFLs would be placed 3 above in a triangle type formation with the LED in the middle(4 total lights directly above) with the remaining 8 lights set in the corners of the tent coming indirectly from the sides. both set ups will cost me right around 230 euros.

All 3 of those lights are blurple. Dead end technology.

How many growers have been sucked into the "alternative facts" advertising that always goes hand-in-hand with these blurple lights? Golden Ring 800W - actual consumption 150W. Vipar 600W - actual 276W. Oooh, the Dominator 800, that sounds intimidating, actual consumption 190W.

Wattage is, as we all know, just about the poorest metric for comparison. But let's talk about wattage for a sec. A watt is a measure of work. Horsepower can be expressed in watts. 745 watts equals 1 horsepower.

Wattage tells you how much work is going on, not how many buds you're gonna get. Wattage tells you what you're gonna pay your utility at the end of the month for the work that was provided, whether your plants are thriving or despondent.

These boxes use cheap LEDs, and perhaps worse, they use cheap drivers, fans, etc. Whatever amount of power these cheap lights consume, most of it is wasted as heat due to the multiple inefficiencies built into them.

Let's give these boxes the benefit of the doubt for a moment. Let's say that they actually produce useful light. The boxes are only about 12 to 15 inches on a side! So what you have is a very small box that puts out enough light (and heat) to peel paint right underneath them, but minimal coverage outside their own footprint. This is not about the quality of the parts. It's about the plain old physical properties of light. It doesn't matter what's in the box - if you've ever used 'em you know that useful light falls off very quickly at the perimeters. So stuffing four COBs into a space that ideally should have maybe one COB doesn't make any sense.

A spindly-looking DIY frame makes much more sense. Gaius was on the right track when he built the Battlestar Ganjatica.

would love to make a DIY light but have zero experience in electrical engineering and a lack of tools, how difficult is something like this to produce?

I have like zero mechanical skills and I could do it....it will take some research, some "YouTube school" but possible for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

I don't get it, been growing almost a year under the cheapest LEDs money can buy. And I got a full 5 oz dry off a Strawberry Cheesecake (free seed) in a 2 gallon DWC with minimal pruning grown under $70 Mars panels. Yeah, I got 4 of them in a 4x4 tent, but that is still only 540 W total in a 16 square foot space and that plant was only one of 4 plants I had in there (the other plants were different strains and yielded 2-3 ounces each). I'm sure Cree COB lights are the best hands down, but when a newb jackass like myself can pull this kind of weight with little effort and no idea what I'm doing off of the CHEAPEST lights on the market... then it can't be more than maybe a 10% boost with the better lights. So, buy what you want but don't be convinced by the people on here that believe the more you spend makes you a better farmer... if you buy a viparspectra for your first indoor grow light you will be happy with it.
