I am thinking about this to replace a 600 watt HPS for flowering

I take it these are 120-480? or just 120/240?

all the ones I used I plugged into 230v but the drivers normally say they`ll do 110v to 250v or so, I think they step up to 400/600v from what I understand the big induction tubes with 2 inducers run at around 400v at a high frequency might be what plants enjoy about them, lol

400 watts at $280. Lasts a long time. It uses 400 watts? Is comparable to a 400 watt HPS?

Any idea why I would not buy a 8 light T5 for $130 using 432 watts for 40,000 lumens?

Just trying to figure out what is the best option.

Stupid ebay I search induction lights and those shitty Mars Hydro LEDs still come up. Man eBay and Amazon really push that Burple stuff hard.

try "induction lamp" and yeah you may have to sift through a lot of other lights dentists normally use induction lamps have done for many years

I`d message the guy as he may still have loads of lights

if you guys are in the states it still maybe worth it if he`s got 4 to 10 lamps you want

The 300w I put in is lower than the 400w`s of mh I had running, light level is a little bit lower but better spread, its not in a cool tube so its 5c or so hotter, plants are all doing fine under it, if anything greener with bigger leaves than before

I`d say use 400w of induction per sqm for flowering but I like to over do it, I`d probably use 400 to 800w but 400w of 3000k induction or 5000k with some warm/red leds should get you some really nice flowers

That 200w with the ballast isnt a bad deal at all! holy fuck lol. i might buy that just for the deal. 20 pounds. thats like 30 bucks for me lol. wow drivers that cheap. pfft.. you just opened my mind to so many different possibilities. got some knowledge on how to do some shit. just never really looked into actually doing it haha
That is the deal of the century. No deals like that on US ebay and the guy in the Uk only has one. :-(

Induction Lamp is a better search term but nothing special comes up.
keep hunting bud

I search "lep" "led grow" "induction lamp" and a few other things a few times per week on a few sites get me some really great deals sometimes and I know peeps that will always take extra lights too

I got 3 really nice 150w cob units for £100 6 months or so ago, sold 1 of them for £100 so I ended up with 2 free lights, lol

they making me some nice buds atm, they had some big vanq burple type chips in them, nice as top lights over 4 plants with some top angle/side lights they were a good score, kinda upset when I found out my mates place has been hot so he aint even put his up yet

I was like "you cunt, I could`a had that up and had like 300/600g of bud off it already fuck the £100 you paid me for it," lol

Ha ha. Farmer from Cornwall. I will check with him. Smart sellers usually sell em off one at a time to keep prices up.

Ever hear of anyone ever using plasma induction lighting?

This could be what we are both talking about lol

Yeah that`s called LEP "light emitting plasma" the way it works is kind of a mix of led, laser and lcd.

The main problem is the light emitter is tiny and its 300/400w so you don`t get much spread, so it lights more like a single 400w cob best thing about tube lights and 60w or under leds is you use tons of them to light an area so no shadows

The LEP lights can burn out fast and people don`t know much about them

The Gavita one looks good and there`s a few diy kits that could be good

but then it comes down to size a 300/400w unit is as big as a 1000w hps, and a 1000w smd cob led chip is way cheaper to build than it is to get a 400w LEP diy kit, so for now led and tube lights are beating LEP

but I do like the light they emit looks like it would mimic sunlight quite well plus I assume its very high frequency too
