I did a few full organics this year first time ever ..........the reason I said it's more work is because it is at the beginning ....and I was referring to people who grow soley for profit and wana do things the easiest way and get there dollar as fast as possible .....I'm anxious to see how the taste is compared to what I've been doing for 20 years .....as you know I grow for my sis and several people like her ....so I'm all about hard work being a farmer and cattle rancher as a living ......gardening is my hobby and to help people not a means of $$$$. I personally don't mind hard work as long as it's smart work .......either way you get what you put in ......seems like there's no patience anymore .....now now now

Nice on the rain catch! Mom used aged manure from the guy down the road, that and I forgot she did add some worm castings as well from a bed they kept in the woods. That's another project I've got to get going on is a worm bin. Mulching is super important. But I digress, it was something I really didn't do enough of in my cucumber and pepper beds this year.

Been working to get up to speed on all the things we've got going on around here between the snakes, plants, garden and dogs and preparing for the busy tax season. All things considered though, we've made a pretty big jump from where we were this time last year. I'm pretty excited about the new grow we just started, instead of two plants we've bumped it up to four and he's thinking of adding two more.

I'm adding drip lines to each row of my garden and going to a dc pump and solar panel with a timer.

I don't have to weed or hoe it, Once I put the water on a timer I will only have to go check on it.

My childhood home there was a garden and we tilled manure in it in the fall and spring for years. It got to a point we only had to add some every few years. Go turn a shovel over and have enough worms to go fishing with. I didn't really even need tilling.

They most likely use salts.

Though some mountain areas have very rich soil with no need to use salts.

Even the ones that use salt based usually still rotate crops and plant cover and nitrogen fixing crops.

Here's my argument, you're on your first grow how the fuck can you compare flushed vs non flushed? Do you have the people your buying from fill out questionnaire's because that's the only experience you could have. Try doing it for yourself before parroting bullshit you read on forums. Learn what curing is and how to do it. One of the most important parts of growing there is. People spend months growing plants and then fuck them up at the end. It may take a few tries to get it right, but once you do you won't waste time flushing anymore.

I agree but I disagree too, Nutrient companies put out things like flawless finish or fox farms bush doctor to make money on something that is totally unneeded, Due to the fact that people will buy it thinking it's the best for the plants. I guess you cant blame a company for capitalizing on a niche :)

One of my grows is on a hillside so I'm able to gravity feed with omitters ....large tank that is refilled by the same pump for my well with a float and a few one way check valves so when I mix nutes In my garden tank I don't cross contaminate my emergency drinking water tank that I have for the house .....power loss is a normal thing out here people driving drunk hitting poles etc etc ..only time I walk the hill is for my own pleasure of checking my plants and making sure there's no unwelcome guests munching my girls
