Is this plant healthy

Im starting to see some small traces pf yellow discoloration on the leaves im using a mixture of peatmoss perlite and red sand im not sure if the soil has any fertilizers to be honest but i just got some 20 20 20 npk fertilizers which i am going to add, will yhis fix the problem hopefully or not ?

Yeah it looks healthy for now, I think its going to be hungry soon. What is the PH though? Peat can run between 4.0-6.0 depending on where its sourced. Seems like sand and perlite would'nt curb this much. Is that all thats in the mix? Can you check the ph?

I would recommend adding some gypsum (calcium) and a small amount of lime (if your ph is low which I assume it is.) into your mix. Most application of peat require lime (agri or dolomitic) to bring the ph up (Dolomitic will also give you mag and work quicker, but Ive been told the ratios of Cal and Mg are off with dolomitic and become problematic in the long run.)

put your nutes in your water, ph it to 6.8, and don't worry about it.
feed them half strength what your nutes say to and work from there, don't invent problems, enough come on their own.
the yellow spots will go away once you start feeding regularly
 
I would recommend phing your media if all it is peat moss, without it you are guessing. PH causes more issues than anything else. It sounds like your water will offset it nicely but, I still think it should be checked to avoid a major headache.
 
i don't think you can permanently change the ph of peat moss, w/e you do to it, it will go back to what it is naturally. better to just work with it if thats what you're going to use. i know some people use peat based medium, so its possible. i read just the other day that kyle kushman is using a peat based medium now. do yourself a little research and see what if any extra steps you need to take.

I use raw peat moss all the time and have for years. I produce free CO2 from the peat moss in my mix. Peat breaks down and stabilizes so yes it will eventually find its level. I suspect that most people think sphagnum peat and store bought mixes that contain peat that have already been stabilized with calcium carbonate are the same. I would be willing to bet that the ONLY reason you aren't seeing more problems is that the PH of your water is so high and it evens it out for now. You can maintain this way with water if you have high ph levels or with calcium carbonate but the peat is going to stay wet too long, which is why I add coco as well. Just my two cents brother men! Your plant looks fine. The pot is kind of big so it's hard to give them the right amount of soil moisture they need to be there best. Theyre ready for a feeding, it looks like. With peat based blends, you should add lime always, even if they say it's in the bag. That's just my two cents. I get the big bag of pulverized ( fine powder lime) from Lowe's for something like 5 bucks for a huge 25+ pound bag. You can't transplant yet for a while so you should work a good healthy tablespoon of lime into the top inch of the soil. Have u checked pH? The lime takes a bit to work, especially when not worked thoroughly though the whole pot, but plants eventually get perkier as long as you water them right and are giving them enough nutes and at a good ratio . Find out what nutes are in your soil before you add anything right now. Sounds like it may be empty of nutrients. I'd say it needs a feed and make sure your watering it right. Lights may be bit close. That could explain the droop but also could just be the time of day u took the pic or watering
 
I add the lime and I water with spring water. Deer Park brand has been working for me but ph of bottled water varies and may not have the same amount of micronutes. A good fertilizer should supply these
 
My tap water is horrible also. Get some lime in that mix and pH your tap water or spring water. This deer park has steadily been close to 6.5
 
Yes. You're mix isn't probably void of nutrients so I'd add the fertilizer half strength for sure. Maybe a bit less than half strength. That plant is ready for it. Definitely need to worry about the pH of your medium, not just the water. If you can work some lime into your potting mix, it will balance your potting mix in the long run and you don't have to worry so much about water pH. It takes a lot of headache away. I'd prepare your soil that you'll eventually transplant into as soon as possible so that the lime has a chance to do its thing. Mix your potting mix with some lime and a good dry organic fertilzer and get it moist. Mix it up and water again until you get run off. If you can do this a few times before you transplant into it, the soil will be good to go. Lights aren't too close unless it's too hot at the plant level.
 
I'd consider topping your pot with a good organic dry fertilizer if you could and only give it weak liquid fertilizer feedings
 
Do i have to transplant it to a new soil mixture with lime i just transplanted it here and its just starting to grow il see howbit turns up on its new feeding and i just took a sample pf the soil to test for ph il see and post it here by monday hopefully
 
But add lime when u eventually do. Mix lime, your potting mix and dry organic fertilizer together and water it. Do this week's before transplanting if u can. It gives the lime and fertilizer time to break down and do their thing. For now, add lime (tablespoon per gallon of soil) and dry organic fertilizerertilizer (1/2 strength) to the top inch of your potting mix that your plant is in. Rake it into the dirt on top inch (maybe more or less) but don't go deep enough to hurt roots. Water with maybe 1/4 strength liquid fertilizer your next water and keep your liquid ferts as low doses
 
Ok ppl ph is good but now i have another problem my baby has grown alot since last time but for last week i havnt been able to put it on the light for 18 hours so it was only getting light from daytime the leaves are starting to curl un and down a bit sobi gave it a feeding of fertz, since it has starteg growing the small haors that indicate its a female does that mean i should switch to the 2400 k cfls and start flowering or what please help, also are the cfls too far i dont see how i can pu them any closer
