Neither 1 or 2. You want to pinch the new growth coming out from between the #2 leaf pair - the very tip of the plant.

For FIM ...yes. just clip 1/2 of the new shoot at top of plant.

Hoping I did it right, Here it is, I did it a couple days ago so it has grown some.

Close...its ok though will still allow bottom growth to grow.

Nothing lol its called...FIM fukk i missed. for a reason.
If done right... two or more tops will grow at same level from top of plant.

yeah you cut too long, if done right the vertical growth stops there, go down further next time
