i'd let them grow into those restraints before flowering them... that stress might make the hermie. unless you wait until they are strong.

thats a good one....will it be good for the rat..lolthanks... I will obviously test it on a lab rat first to make sure its not gonna kill me.
I would also look at the other roots too. If they are stunted a couple of things could be the cause: too much fertilizer, too much water (not enough drainage of your soil), not enough void space (perlite), compost too hot. Not sure what you used for potting medium (compost). Did you age it for a month or so or was it from a bag? Could be a lot of things.
