Russian interference in elections is a sad joke

Justice will be served at the voting booth. No thanks to truther bern-outs like yourself.
Nor people like you, who keep insisting that exercising our rights to vote for the person we think is best for the job is somehow a threat to democracy.

You can read. You just can't think.

By your stand on this very topic, self fulfilling prophecy.

Nobody thought Nixon could go either. There were plenty of cynics like you who said it was a distraction.

No way Republicans will vote to impeach and remove. Doesn't mean the investigation is a "distraction". As justin points out there are other ways to give justice. Your cynicism paralyzes you, stunts your thinking and makes you unlikeable. No progress can be made with your mindset. You would let them win.

The investigation is important in that it will bring to light what is held in the dark. The truth is always better than the lie.

I didn't say not to bother. I said I don't have any faith that the system will actually enforce Justice.

That's not fatalism, it's realism.

And I'll still vote for who I think it's best for the job, rather than who might win- because the winners forget their constituents in our system.

The Supreme Court is taking care of that little obstacle to the rule of the 1%.

Keep on bashing Democrats. That's the ticket. You are registered independent, yes?
The Supreme Court has thrown habeas corpus under the bus, so they're ready to back outright authoritarianism.

I didn't say fatalism. I said cynicism. The belief that people are motivated purely by self interest and without principle. Exactly like your statement. "because winners forget their constituents".

You expect your views to be represented. Nothing wrong with that but your jump to "self dealing reps" ignores the democracy we live in. Enter cynicism to avoid further reflection.

I believe that those in power in America are motivated by self interest first and foremost. This belief is reinforced in the headlines on a daily basis.

I disagree with your unfounded assertion that we live in a democracy.

This is declarative. Not very interesting or informative.

We still vote, the next election shapes up to be a lopsided win for Democrats. Is it your opinion that Democrats are the same as Republicans?

I'll just call that naive if you do. Maybe you should just stop making dumb declarative posts here. The politics section isn't in your league and nobody wants your simple declarative statements.

Trump was elected by people who voted for him, not by people who wouldn't vote for Clinton- whom, as I've said on many occasions, I actually did vote for. I won't make that mistake again.
Yeah, Trump was the best thing that ever happened for liberals.
