Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez {Progressive} just beat an established Dem {Joe Crowley}

Rep. Joe Crowley, one of the top Democrats in the House of Representatives, lost his New York primary in a shocking upset on Tuesday night to community organizer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Better her than Jeff Greene(back), billionaire, for Florida governor.

I've heard of her. She's a trailblazer and an inspiration.
How exactly is she a trailblazer and an inspiration?

She'd to work tables AFTER graduating to support her family.

How is she in any way qualified to be a member of the House of Reps?

You realize you just gave the Republicans a really good chance at what was an unchallengably solid blue seat...right?

All they have to say is she's unqualified, which is 100% true.

Right. Because lawyers who take millions from corporations who give no fucks about people in their district are going to be soooooo much better.

You should call up that mail order degree mill you got your degree from. They ripped you off.

Sorry to interrupt your little meltdown there, but do you want to actually reply to the post so you don't just look completely retarded for once?

Do you know what would've really helped your candidate? If your superPAC hadn't embezzled all the donations.

I will grant you that you're the expert at looking retarded. I'm thinking it comes naturally.

So what makes her inspirational and a trailblazer?

What are her qualifications to become a member of the House of Reps?

Could you not at least put forward candidates who have even local govt experience?

1. Because she spoke to the interests and needs of her constituents from a position of having lived the same life they do. She also didn't take donor cash which adds to her credibility.
2. What qualifications does she lack? A law degree? Millions of dollars in campaign funding she has to make good on?
3. She ran, she won. What's wrong with being the choice of the people because she's an effective voice of the people?

Most people get smarter as they get older. How have you managed to so effectively buck the trend, Stinkydigit?

Great news!

If it keeps up we might actually see American citizens being fairly represented by their government.

It could happen...
someone said today..'geeze isn't that (her platform) what Sanders stood for?'

then I heard.'.it's a one out..won't happen again.'

oh yes it will teehee..

he's 18..old enough for a SA and Bumpstock..old enough to be governor.
Yup. Because someone who's never even had to do his own taxes is a good choice for someone to run a state.

I like the kid.. he's ballsy as hell for an 18 year old... Taking on everyone who wants to debate and doing it calmly and rationally.. pretty funny and cool. But just because he's doing this doesn't earn him a governor's seat.
I think his next spot will be Congress. Which is perfect for someone young like him

Ocasio-Cortez had more people vote for her than Crowley. You can't be saying that Crowley just gave the election to her, can you? She won by a goodly margin too. These are all the qualifications needed, other than residency and some other legal requirements.

Winning that seat was no small feat. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt for now and say she shows a lot of promise. She could screw it all up with one bad interview but right now, she's gotten a lot of good press and hasn't said anything to ruin her appeal with liberal Democrats.

THAT seat is pretty safe from Republicans. Republicans, of course, hate her and everything she stands for. They will go after her with all the fake news fit to post when the time comes.

I'm just asking the critical questions necessary to discern a candidate's ability to get further than the primary.

If you the shit I said could be construed negatively, wait for an opp-research firm looks into her.
