Visible signs of ‘flowering’?

hey guys, I’m doing a cabinet grow in compost and peat first every grow (jack herer) vegged for a month light on 24/0 for first week, then dropped down to 18/6 now been on 12/12 for about 9 day now if I remember correctly, doesn’t seem to have made much difference apart from growing a good inch a day wich as a faster rate than what it was, scorched a few leaves because of it, my question is when and what will I see as first signs of flowering? All iv got is long green spikes that come out of the node junctions, sorry if that isnt enough info to make a semi educated guess and it’s all uneducated info :eyesmoke: And plant always seem to be droopy regardless or water or not cheers guys

Interesting... I’m not of much use with my limited knowledge, so can’t really help with an answer, but interested to see the replies.

Are you feeding it any nutes? Looks like it could be overwatered to me re the drooping leaves, though could be down to the roots if the pot is small? but I’d wait for the more knowledgeable guys to advise.

How big is your pot and what kind of light are you using?

You should start getting some white hairs any day now, I would think. Just curious... Do u have good drainage? And how often do you water? Do you let it dry in between waterings? What's your lights? Oh, and how big is the pot it's in? I'm not sure, but I feel like some of these factors may contribute to your drooping leaves...

I just posted something similar lol... I am a newb, but I also thought maybe they have been over-watered... Maybe someone with more experience will chime in..

2.5 later pot with half a dozen drainage holes in the bottom, feeding her a small amount of tomato feed I led her get bone dry b4 watering and water tillvabout 10% run off, couple of CFL lights and an LED strip light and fan, simple easy set up just seeing if I can get her to survive and hopefully get some bud for my first time

Nice one mate, now again, I’m not one of the knowledgeable lot here, but that’s a really small pot, so I’d say some of your issues are definitely down to your roots not having any room down there.

Yeah it’s in a cabinet/stealth grow so can even attempt to be much bigger than that, but yeah she’s probs root bound needing more room, I can you a longer pot E.g like a window seal pot/ troff? Would that be better ?

ahh I’m with you... I would transplant to the long pot if it has a greater volume than your current pot, but it will probably dry out quicker as more surface area of medium exposed so keep an eye on it and good luck!

It doesn’t look like the plant is big enough to get root bound, it will be fine in the pot it is in. I get 3 footers in a one gallon pot with giant colas. I think your issue is you started off with a month of veg with 24hr of light, you wouldn’t like to stay up for a month straight would you, they need to rest too. And what kind of air flow is in your cabinet

Hey dude thanks for the reply 24h light was for first week only then down to 18/6 for 3 weeks now 12/12 and got decent sized fan just enough to gently rustle the leaves

I have had it take 2 weeks to start showimg the whitr fuzzy hairs that grow on top of the bud sites

They stack on that after. Some strains and lights probably take longer

And after that happens you have about the number of weeks of flower the breeder claimed.
