Dehumidifier Water For Flushing

Could it be done. It’s Monsoon Season and I’m pulling 4Gallons of water a day out of the air out of 1 room. Can it be used if oxygenated before. Can only find mixed reviews. The PPM is basically 0.

I 'm pulling over 2 gallons per day and using it exclusively for watering my soil grow. ph round 6.5 plants don't seem to mind. I'm not saying this is correct, just it's working for me. I look forward to more impute.

Ive used it to water with no ill effects, only a small bit though. All the bad stuff should be caught in a filter in the dehumidifier, then its just clean water left.

Most people’s concern seems to be a high concentration of microbiological contaminates; viruses, bacteria, etc. I clean regularly with bleach (weekly min.) I know most of it is due to rain water which is extremely clean and transpiration from the plants.
It’s a brand new unit as well. Where I live water is free but I don’t like to waste water.
I’m adding another R/o filter and tank to run off my water transfer pumps out my reservoirs to pull out the leftover nutrients and reuse the water.
I start a set on flush Saturday and I’ll test it out.

Whoa now that's a damn good idea. So you're talking about putting a RO filter inline with the pump you use to empty the res? Making that water reusable and not just waste? I have never thought of that

Yes, I know I’ll go threw filters but that’s fine, run it through a filter system first as well to remove large particles.

id really like to see some pictures of this contraption if you get it set up. im pouring about 3 gallons of water down the drain every day from my dehumidifier

The dehumidifer water I just have aerating in a seperate reservoir. Assuming I wasn’t clear, I run DWC w/H.Tea but am currently working on build RDWC system. Water from the RDWC Reservoir & Control bucket would be cycle back into a holding reservoir then put through a simple filter (like you’d find in a fridge with a water/ice port in front) then into a R/O System.

With a UV filter you could use your dehumidifier water consistently so I’ll be buying a UV filter

About to search on effects of iodine on plants as well, remember reading somewhere it can make water safe to drink.
Boiling as well could be a last resort.

Maybe just add this to my dehumidifier or have it pump to a small reservoir 5-10gallons for a period of time (pumps set to timers) with the light in it then pump to reservoir.
