perlite turning green

The perlite on the surface is turning green. Seedlings and clones 15 days, in coco/perlite 70/30. Canna A&B 2ml/gal, MagiCal 5ml/gal, hydroguard 2ml/gal. Tap water is 160ppm. Ph 5.8 About 100ml per day with 20% run off. Under HO T5's.

The green on the perlite showed up couple days ago and slowly getting worse, only on the surface. I picked all the green and most of the perlite off the surface.

Anyone have any idea what this is besides mold. It just doesn;t look like mold. I have a red marker stick (wood) in one plant, and a couple of the perlite pieces near it have turned red. This green looks the same but no green sticks.

OK, algae. What is causing it. My 1st coco grow, never seen algae before. Am I over watering and keeping the top too wet? humidity is 30 ish never over 40

It is the light, as Rocky said, just cover the coco. I have used double layer of shade cloth, allows water in and helps keep light out.
What size are you plants now?
Plants are 3 inches tall. Didn't realize the picture had no scale..... could have been a foot. lol
It is clone I took off a bud 3 weeks into flower. Doing WAY better than i expected.

Dude, I took a clone at 33 days in flower, Monster Cropper. It was a bitch the whole grow. Had to work my ass off keeping her spread/tied down/spread/tied down, almost every couple of days.

They have to revert back to veg, big hormone change and it took forever to get back into veg. This was her reverting back to veg.

And this was her at harvest, 17 weeks later.

That's an incredible shrub. Not sure if I can fit a 17 week plant into my perpetual cycle. lol

It's algae growing where it is perpetually wet. Just keep the air movement in/under the plants vigourous to prevent humid microclimate condusive to mildews and the like. Especially pick up dropped leaves on the perlite.
