The strips went up everywhere. All strips. The tariff tax went up at Jan 1st. If you're in the states. You're gonna pay 14-20 for f series single row, and 20-40 for double row. And more for the H inFlux strips. Unless you get discount for bulk ordering. Or have a company account. You're gonna pay around that price per strip. You're about 16 months to late for super cheap deals on strips unless you buy a bunch. Like 20+
ye i plan to buy 50
but not the double rews.... andf im form europe

Digikey is the best source for EU peeps just because they have an EU warehouse and you only have to pay VAT but there is no customs check and no custom fees. And for orders above 50€ shipping is free.
If you order lets say from arrow.com you have to pay twice. Custom fees and a charge of + 20 € for DHL fer each package because they pick up the package from customs and deliver it home.
Believe me, digikey is the best source to get your Sammy strips.

Yeah digikey is your best bet as @Randomblame said bc they have EU warehouse. Led costs more upfront. But pays for itself. In savings of electric use, and yield. And quality if you have skills. But I've not seen a single strips build or QB build that afterwards they were disappointed with how the light performed. Cant say that about other led lights. Plug n play type.

50cm high? And running them at 7.5w is super soft. They wont need any sinks if your running them that soft.

Get a cheap 12-15$ lux meter and divide the measurings by factor 70 to get μMol/s/m².
Seedlings need up to 100-150μMol/s/m²(7.000-10.000lx) and plants in veg need 300-600μMol/s/m²(20.000-40.000lx) depending on stage. For flowering +600-800μMol/s/m²(40-55klx) are recommended(without CO²); with CO² it could be up to 1050-1100μMol/s/m²(70-80klx).
E3ay/am4zon have a few cheap ones good enough. I'm using the red one, BTW, called HS-1010A

Edit:
Q-series can handle up to 900mA which means ~20w for the 2footers and 40w for a 4ft strip.

What do u think About the accuracy of lux meters on smartphones. I just learned to use the meter on my samsung galaxy s3. I tested it under some 2700k screw in led. The meter even has a kelvin reading.
On samsung android press *#0*#, then select sensor.

Yeah, I hear ya! I've tried lux meter apps but most of the time its not accurate because each model has a different sensor. The better apps offer calibration and calibrated it should work but most sensors are also limited. My good old S2 was able to measure up to 70000lx, my current OP6 can only measure up to 36klx. And compared to my cheap 12$ lux meter both show higher numbers.
So it can work but only if you have the possibility to calibrate it. Otherwise you do not get accurate measurings.

This luxmeter app is pretty good and has a few useful features..

sure about the eu warehouse? every order so far i or a friend did via digikey came from the states (5 orders so far), good thing is customs and shipping is already priced in, you only need to pay VAT on your orders so i don't really mind where they are shipping from, it's usually faster than ordering from tme, where i usually get my meanwells from, and they sit in poland

Yea, Digikey has only warehouse in USA. I was asking them about that. No EU warehouse.
However I only paid importing taxes, I think 22-25% of price. They don't write lower price, like chinese people do.

Strange! I've talked with a salesman 2 or 3 years ago(when Vero29gen.6 came out) and he told me they have a few warehouses around the world. Its easier for them and it avoids import taxes cause when sold from the EU for instance they only need to add VAT depending on your country. Its practical the same when I order my driver from tme europe. As soon as I set the website to my language or use digikey.de I only have to add VAT.
I've also ordered a few times from arrow.com, always shipped from the US. No VAT, but 22% custom fees and additional costs for customs clearing for each packgage for UPS or DHL. So around 30% compared to just 19% VAT. So from my POV you save around 10% with digikey.

Edit.
There is also no customs control when ordered from digikey! No one knows what you have ordered. For this reason I don't order growlights like the the FotoP boards from china. As I ordered the Agromax bulbs and because they were shipped by a friended rui member I had to pick them up personally from the custom station.
What a shit!
Because of the shitty term 'growlights' he asked me a 2nd hole in my butt. Told him they are for reptiles but he looked online and told me they are for MJ. No, no! They can also be used for reptiles...I swear!
Believe me, I almost shot out a shitbolt, lol! .. he looked out at least an inch... haha!
For weeks afterwards I expected to receive unwanted visitors!
I'm too old for such nonsense.
