my interpretation of that story is "we don't want you to take our president who hates the same people we hate...quit trying."...

as i look back at politics during my lifetime, and before, i see a cycle...conservatives get in power, and people make money, but eventually, they feel so spiritually and morally bankrupt that they get rid of the conservatives and replace them with liberals. the liberals make them feel better about themselves, and the world in general, until they have to start paying for those "feelings"....then it's time for the conservatives to get back in power and make people some more money....
of course, that's a gross oversimplification, but the core of it is true....there's a shifting balance between moral and spiritual enrichment, and financial enrichment....we really need to find some way to reconcile the two...i know there have to be ways of making money that don't require moral bankruptcy, and ways to moral and spiritual enlightenment that don't require financial ruination... the word "Bipartisan"....is insufficient...it's not us and them....it's WE...not just us democrats, or us republicans, or us Americans. WE all share the world, WE all have rights, AND responsibilities, and WE should all have the same rights, no matter what country we live in...and the best thing America can do right now is pull itself up by it's bootstraps, get over the trump debacle, and move on, trying to work across "party" lines, for the common good of the entire race...because WE're either going to succeed or fail as a Race, not as disparate Nations that can agree on nothing because they all want everything...
