Technology has changed since I tried growing last

I spent months researching through all the garbage and conflicting internet "truths" about growing, and what was needed, to make sure I did it right. I cut some corners on a couple things, but made sure new equipment and the best tech was involved.
I'm within a week of flipping the lights over to flower, after battling heat issues from outside the tent for a couple weeks. I will have been in beg for about 6 weeks at the time I flip. Just filling last little bit of canopy now.
Here's what I got going:

-60x60x80 grow tent (its off brand, but i did love the price point and it works well without light leaks.
-630w dual-bulb cmh, started with one bulb for first 2 weeks, have been using both bulbs now for a few weeks. 4200k
-AC Infinity T6 inline fan, 4-layer 6" ducting, and 6" carbon filter (all inside the tent along ceiling) The controller is set to turn on to regulate temp to 76°, and monitors humidity levels. I did not set the controller for control of humidity below 64% as I have a hard time keeping humidity up to 50 already.
-Root Pouch brand 3 gallon pots
-18" oscillating fan
-Canna Coco medium
-Humidifier with humistat set to 50%, yet it struggles to keep 35% since fan is almost always on when lights on.
-Canna Nutrients: Coco A & B, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, and Botanicare CalMag+

My questions are:
Did I do it right?
I know ambient temps outside of the tent are what's causing the temps to barely be controllable by my fan setup, as the slumlord refuses to fix the heater that just stays on all the time. How can I lower temps other than the blocking of the heater, directing exhaust air out through window top, and intake ducting attached to bottom of window to try to pull cooler Alaska air from outside? I'd like to avoid a/c if at all possible as the draw on the circuit is already pretty significant with both bulbs in the light.

AND I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR DEMONTRICH's thoughts if he ever reads this. He had an amazing conversation going regarding using just the 4200k broad spectrum bulbs for the entire grow cycle.

So I'm going into the transition cycle and flipping lights to 12/12 this coming weekend. Not completely sure what nutrients I need, or when to use them properly. Been using the nutrients listed in my first post above. I got Flower Fuel powder and Humboldt Sticky & Sweet coming this week. Do I need to flush my Grandaddy Purple plants before swapping nutrients? And what nutrients other than what I have coming already do I need to maximize yield and potency?

Pics please we need the pics

cheers/

Pics. These are my 6 GDP, near the end of week 5 in veg. Little over 26 inches tall. like my overkill oscillating fan?! Temps got a bit out of control when ducting fell and intake was coming from heater. I panicked! Lol20190326_084551.jpg 20190326_082714.jpg 20190326_084558.jpg 20190326_084911.jpg 20190326_084602.jpg
@DemonTrich
Did it work? Lol

you dont need to flush. only if growth slows down from nutrient buildup. plants essentially need the same nutrients in veg as they do in flower. less N and maybe more P and K. many growers use the same nutrient profile from seedling through to harvest. some even feed at the same strength the whole time. with most 2 part nutrients ("a" and "b") the "a" is primarily nitrogen and calcium and the "b" is p k sulfur so in flower some people use more of their B than A. idk your nutrients so they could be switched you gotta check the labels. another tip is calmag+ is high in nitrogen so you wanna be careful with that as excess N can cause problems in flower. so if you use calmag probably use a little less "a" than "b"

what will maximize your yield and potency is not overfeeding them, and giving them plenty of time to do their thing.

everything looks great from here.

Damn good to hear. They're short but healthy in my opinion. The light green new growth I was having for a few weeks made me get the calmag+. Should I swap to a regular calmag supplement now that im about to go into flower?

Hear is managed but less than a thousand watt HPS anyways. It is a whole lot of intense light for sure! And the plants are loving it. I was told I should probably stick with five plants in that space, But I went with an extra one in case one guy too stringy I could always cut it down for just clones or something. I didn't plan on all six plants doing so well. And the 6:30 definitely covers wall-to-wall even with this little tiny aluminum Hood

Well the day has come finally. I'm flipping the lights as soon as I do the defoliation. I'm aiming for the bottom 40% but trying to leave anything within a couple inches of the canopy, and some of the bigger sugar leaves to help with stretching. Am I wrong?

I don’t take any sugar leaves. Any fans except the top ones are fair game. I lollipop similar to what you’ve done there. Maybe a little more aggressively as they stretch

I was thinking I'll do it again after the stretch. After taking what I've taken now, they look barely able of producing ANYTHING. I really need this first batch to go well to keep my motivation up. Oops got a little careless with one branch and it broke. Guess I could leave it and see if it bounces back?

yeah i know what you mean. a little success is a great motivator. it should be totally fine just brace it up until is has the strength to stand on its own.

they look really good to me

avoid a/c
If there is room you can get a portable swamp cooler. It gets really hot and dry here and it does triple duty for me, cools, adds humidity, and oscillates the fan through my room so I don't need another fan. When it gets too hot I just put some ice blocks in the water. I will probably have to install an AC I picked up, but I made it through last summer with it.
