Damn man, im sorry to hear/see that. Yes, its what ive been saying for awhile now. Are you in CoCo?
Looks like Classic "LedDefficiency " to me.
White led man, idk why but some just struggle. You magging up? And P. And Cal. Oh, dont forget the rest everyone else will tell you you're doing wrong. Cant be the spectrum.
Now you see why im at lower #'s on the HLG side. I too use 300w mostly.
Idk how i will flower at 525w. Its not even that the #'s are that high either. I just did some #'s & heights. I was growing around 34" w/300w to be safe. So just mow i dropped the light to 28"-30", staying at 300w. This gave me almost matching #'s to the HGL plant which is using only 2, 84x's @va lil less then 300w.
I took before pics just now.
Here they are, will update tom to see if the 500 umol ,300w, / 28-30" is to much or not fir the HLG Comp plant.?. Trying to get her to catch up by spreading her open the other day.
Anyways, now we have matching wattage & intensity, lets see what happens.??..

Its the way the boards are so strong in a compact area i feel. View attachment 4354560 x2 , 84x's / 288w, 24"View attachment 4354561 View attachment 4354562 2 hitting plant, plant response is happy. Getting to big so i did not spread her out. Shell see trellis in the next few days. View attachment 4354563 View attachment 4354564 View attachment 4354565
Oh its a classic alright!please stop with that none-sense. Classic grower error
I just want to be clear that I'm looking for advice on what I'm doing wrong, not trying to criticize or slam anyone. This led thing is new to me "6 months" and I'm struggling to dial it in. Just when I think I got it right with one strain, the next one is kickin my butt.. cheers!Oh its a classic alright!
most common mistake with LEDs is running the room too cool.
Possibly.please stop with that none-sense. Classic grower error
Community error is still grower error like lukio said led defeciency is complete bullshit. And what's to close? That also comes down to grower skill if you grow with higher ppfd you need to be a better grower. Basically it's always the growers fault if something goes wrongPossibly.
Or is it community error by running these lights too close and too intense. HID lights have had over 50 years cumulative grower experience to help them determine ideal intensities, hanging height, nutrient regimines and room environment.
Led lights are still evolving (so is hid but at much slower rate) what is clear is they cannot be used with same cookie cutter.
I'll certainly own up to being inexperienced using these lights. So any advice on what I should be doing differently would be greatly appreciatedCommunity error is still grower error like lukio said led defeciency is complete bullshit. And what's to close? Are you following vpd and feeding full strength?I'll certainly own up to being inexperienced using these lights. So any advice on what I should be doing differently would be greatly appreciated

I have my meter at canopy level. I do have an IR meter, I'll check for any deviations. Hybridway2 mentioned led deficiency, is this lack of a certain spectrum? Because the ambient light to the eye is much more pronounced than the hps or my cmh lights. Just curious...yeaahhhhh thats still grower deficiency.
imo, problems are nearly always environmental and or too much light.
Are those temps ambient @Bourbon 2 or leaf temps? got an IR temp gun? from my experience i find ambient to be quite a lot lower than leaf
Too close depends on how intense, which relates back to the entire environment, feed rates, strain, history and age of plant....grower style. Blasting away and increasing gpw or g/area does not equate to a better grower, higher yields may indicate an individual has made an improvent but growing large quantities of cannabis does not make someone a better grower. A good grower has the ability to recognize (like @Bourbon 2 ) and adapt when shit not going right.Community error is still grower error like lukio said led defeciency is complete bullshit. What are your leaf surface temps? Find an average temp and post itI'm running the veg @ 78-82deg and 60-65%RH, 18/6 @560watts, 4x4 tent, I just raised the light as high as I can and dialed back the wattage to 375w. The plants seem to be growing as a Bush more than in height. Their about 36" high now, week 5 or 6 of veg.
I've always tried following the VFD chart as close as I possibly can so I'm still stumped.
I dialed back on the variac controller for the exhaust fan to bump up the temp. The one plant that I butchered yesterday looks very happy even after turning down the wattage. Let me know what else you guys can think of that may help. What are your leaf surface temps? Find an average temp and post it
200w is all you need for veg in a tent that size. Lights 10-20cm away from the tops. Look for preying leave's & you know your in the ball park.I'm running the veg @ 78-82deg and 60-65%RH, 18/6 @560watts, 4x4 tent, I just raised the light as high as I can and dialed back the wattage to 375w.
