Question, when do i start adding dry koolbloom as pk boost?
Also do you guys taper nutes down towards the end or continue with full feedings right up until chop?
I start my KoolBloom between weeks 4 and 5, I run light rates and run until the last week.
I stop adding nute and add just irrigate with Calmagic/Epsom and pH around 10 days prior to harvest.

So once you start using it week 4-5, you give it to them with every feeding until you cut nutes out @ 10 days pre harvest?

Calimagic/ph 10 days out, ill try to remember that. Ive never flushed any of my plants before, ive always fed right up until harvest, im always open to trying something different tho lol

My fall run, I plan to try flushing only half the grow. Then do some blind smoke testing to see what up.

In the past Ive done both....but never apples to apples half and half dealio to really know the difference between flushed and non for a grow.

when you ran h3ad formula, did you taper nutes at all nearing end? or full dose right until chop?

also did you use any pk boost on those h3ad runs?
I think....I used Liquid kb and
Dry kb like they suggested on the gh feed chart. But...I also remember overdoing the dry stuff and burning things. Be most cautious with the dry. About 110ish ppm per ml.....all P and K.

Im still trying to get a handle on this nute stuff.

The Canna Folks recommend PK at week 5 for one week. At their recommended rate you will burn the plants, especially since I would be filling the tank at least twice during that week. I take what would be their weeks worth in Koolbloom and spread that over the next two to three weeks, sort of spoon feeding them. The timing is all strain dependent.

It's more like 7 to 10 days, can't find my notes. It is really not that long of a "flush", since I replenish my rez daily during this period the nutes are only weakened by the additional water and C/M/E. By harvest they are very low but not totally gone. I never flush with plain water, have heard there will be a curse put on you if you do, :)

More koolbloom questions....

On the bag GH calls for 1/4 tsp per gallon or 1.25 grams per 4L for us Canadians lol

Is this too high? should i decrease the dosage? Me in all my laziness still have put the battery in or calibrated my blulab ppm/ph/temp meter. so unsure how much ppm id be adding.

Looking back at tints spreadsheets, i think the 1.25 grams per 4l will put me right around the 150ppm like @Renfro suggested for early dose

Just take a gallon (check PPM first) and add a gram to it. Then measure the PPM increase. Now you know how much PPM one gram per gallon does. From there you can calculate whatever PPM addition you require.

Seeing Cal def on the top flower leaves on one. Auto at 7 weeks from seed, been flowering for 3 weeks or so, stretch ended about 10 days back. RH is 65-70, temp 28-30°C, Lux - 40,000 @ 26 inches.

Currently at 1.8ml Si, 4ml Calmag, 2.5g Maxi-bloom per 5 litres. Should I increase the Calmag or is it already too much and messing with something else?

Rest are doing fine with the same feed. PH - 6.0-6.3. Input - 490-500 PPM, run-off - 400-450. Feeding twice, 2 gallon fabric pots. Tried going up to 3g Bloom but go minor tip burn and went down to 2.5g. Maxi-grow was stopped after the stretch.

You could add 0.5 grams of Epsom/gal.

I know, depending on the the stage of growth, I use a 1/0.5 ratio CalMagic/Epsom. And it will be 1/1 at other times.
I am not sure about the ratios, I look at the plant to see what I feel it needs.

Pictures would sure help diagnose the problem.

Not seeing any new spots on the newest sug leaves. PH meters were out of whack by +.4 and +.2. I normally recalibrate when the reading from both stops matching but seems they both drifted upward over the last couple of weeks. Going to start recalibrating every week.

If I were to start Epsom salt, should I drop Calmag to 3ml from 5, because otherwise the PPM will increase drastically. Is 1g per 5 litres enough?

New sug leaves appear to be unaffected but the ones that got the spots have gotten worse. Been adding 1g Epsom for the past two days. Silica - 1.8ml, Calmag - 4ml, ES - 1g, Maxi-bloom - 2.25g = 540PPM. Keeping it a 6.2/6.3.
