The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

The IP rating on that is what scares me. Even though the CRI is 90.
Can't be to picky mate lick someone said in another thread if u take too long the Chinese will bring another board out and u will be thinking even more into it and takin even longer to choose just do what's best for your grow situation and what suits you bro take the plunge and pull the trigger on what u like some many boards I no it's to pick lol....

The notoriously unsafe wiring of budget end chinese anything just about ever that's been known to shock people from time to time. I don't like being electrocuted, been too many times for my liking. Felt a little better about the IP33 rating on the kingbrites I ordered. lol
How much were those???

I want lights that i can go from alpha to omega with... I only used 3500k lights when I started with cfls... Maybe I'll try a 3500k QB with the reds in it...

Its got plenty of white light and a nice spike of blue, UV, and almost twice as much red, with a nice little bump in IR according to relative intensity. No reason for me to be worried, I'll get a much fuller spectrum from this than a HPS 1000w. Currently vegging under one and my plants hate it because I don't have a MH bulb in. I can tell they want the right spectrum for their current stage of growth and they're using way more nitrogen based on the fact, like they want to keep dying off from the lowers, in the same way a plant finishes during harvest. I know it's not a salt issue, and I know it's not a build up. Definitely deficient from the bulb and current stage of growth/spectrum.

Looked back a couple pages and didn't see, what light are you currently using that you believe is leaving the plants a little unhappy?

An old HPS 1000w fixture, hortilux bulb, ran half a flower cycle, so only about a month on the current bulb. They need a heavier feed of the veg+bloom most likely, haven't been adding the shine during my veg, and just realized I should be adding a smaller percentage per a gallon on that too according to the feed charts.

Ohhhh I gotcha, when you said "fuller spectrum from this", you were referring to LEDs that you ordered and are not currently using? Roger that. I'm not too hip on growing with HPS, but was curious about what you were referring to. Hadn't really considered that styles may need to change relative to lighting type, but they all have their wavelength strengths and weaknesses, so it makes sense.

Usually you'll get good responsive vertical growth from an HPS. I'm not sure why these clones have been so unresponsive to this bulb, especially running at 750w, it's a lot of light on 6 small future mothers in 3 gallons.

I've had issues like that before and I just stick to the basics and they eventually snap out of it. I suspect it has to do with the iron in our well water.

What's up everyone! I jut converted my 2x4 veg area to a 240w Kingbrite with LM301H at 3500K. I got that Kelvin rating assuming it would veg well but would be able to flower decently for a couple autos every once in a while.

Now I want to upgrade my 4x4 Flower tent to LED as well so I want to order two more 240w set ups from Kingbrite. From what I understand 3500K is solid for all around use(seed to harvest) but I'm wondering if it would it benefit me to outfit my 4x4 flower tent with 3000K boards instead of 3500K?
