Coconut water?

I ran across an article about using coconut water on plants. It is supposed to be really good for making roots, or treating a sick or injured plant. It's kinda expensive - even the stuff used for agriculture.
Much of what I've read is not applied to canna.

I recently popped four beans that I've had for ... like, forever. These are old school 70's beans that I acquired when I lived in Hawaii. We called it Elephant Grass - it supposedly came from Viet Nam originally and I knew a local that grew them gorilla style in the cane fields on Maui.

So, I applied some coco water on two, and Rhizo on the other two ... they are about a week old, and about 1.5 inches now. I will take pix's as they grow.
I think when they get older, I will do a test of feed too. I want to do an organic, tea bag feeding style on two, and the shitty chemicals (Jacks) on the other two.

So ... has anyone used coconut water before?
If so ... whatta ya think?
If not ... what is your secret sauce?
I won't tell.

yes I sometimes give it to plants I dilute it heavily with water. Coconutwater is rich in K and has lots micronutes.

If youre recycling soil you can use it pure if it has time to rest for some weeks.
Ooops. I didn't dilute it.
First feeding I did was a light moistening around the outer edges of the one liter sized container. That was a couple of days ago, and they still seem happy.
How much do you dilute it?
Did you notice the effect?
That is, did you notice the effect?

no I didnt notice anything, however plants were healthy growing and did so aftereards. Ii did dilute 1:10. I give this as sort of a stimulant after transplant into the final pot. Roots need more K less P for their own growth, so a bit plus of may promote that. But impossible to see in soil...

I havent given this regularily, IMO one can overdo everything...

Coconut water and coconut milk are two different thing.....do not confuse the two

Coconut milk is from the juice of the coconut meat whereas....
Coconut water, is the water within the coconut fruit.

Coconut water is the one that you need to feed your plant/s.

All these are present in the water

Calcium, Ca
Iron, Fe
Magnesium, Mg
Phosphorus, P
Potassium, K
Sodium, Na
Zinc, Zn
Copper, Cu
Manganese, Mn
Selenium, Se
Chlorine, Cl
Sulfur, S
Aluminium, Al
Boron, B

Vitamins

Vitamin C,
Thiamin (B1)
Riboflavin (B2)
Niacin (B3)
Pantothenic acid (B5)
Pyridoxine (B6)
Folate, total
Folic acid
Folate,
Biotin
Nicotinic acid (Niacin)

Phytohormones

Auxin
1,3- Diphenylurea
Cytokinin

And all other kind of good stuff. If you have access to coconut fruit, use the water from the green fruit and not the brown one (brown one is old coconut fruit). If not, try to look for organic coconut water, most coconut water in the market are processed and have some added stuff that might not be good for your plant.

Yea, I was careful to find coconut WATER, and I found it at a health food store.
It was marked down from $5 to below $2 because it was about to expire in three weeks.
And I was careful to read the label and make sure there was nothing in it besides coconut water.

It seems like it contains 105mg/l Sodium - which can be harmful for plants and its also highly osmotic. But I donno if that concentration is already over the red line...
however its exprnsive water one tent pure with it 30€.
Chlorine, Cl
this is even more dangerous

Chlorine, Cl b20 molecule=183mg per 100g b29 molecule=183mg per 100g

Dont ask me what those molecules are, lol. But, as you can see the're really miniscule per 100g
Pretty much same thing with Sodium which are attached to specific group of molecules

Sodium, Na 105 105 105 1.75 16.10
again mg/100g

I extract from fresh coconuts around this time of the year. Here is some info about fresh extraction

I use a 3/8 inch drill bit that is over 3 inches long. I drill into the bottom center of the coconut and shake it till all the water is removed from the nut. This particular nut yielded 14oz of coconut water @ 2530 ppm / 5.8 ph

I will mix this with RO water until the mix is around 500 PPM and its ready for use. I use this on all my plant in the vegetative stage up to 2 weeks into flower
