Anyone have recommendations for dtw system for 8x4 grow tent running 2 1200w leds using 5 gallon fabric pots. Might go for a smaller size next time if more efficient. Would appreciate any advice

My current setup.
3 gallon/min @65# 12V RV pump

The grow I moved the hardware from the rez and put it on a separate stand, Pump and manifold. Did this so I could add the lid to the rez.

Here are the emitters I am using, Rainbird adjustable. The blue mark indicates the quick disconnect used to remove the plants from the tent.

I am sure this system would support two Orbit 8 port manifolds and possibly three manifolds. I ran a 24 plant scrog, in my signature, where I had a 1.2 gallon/min @ 80#, and three manifolds, that did not give me enough volume. I had to change from the Rainbird emitters to a drip system that worked OK, not near as nice as this current setup.

If I had the new 3 g/m pump I believe I would of had the volume to run the Rainbird emitters.

That looks like a pretty awesome setup. The one thing I am trying to figure out is how I'm going to drain everything I would like something big enough that I do not have to worry about it over filling and I'm not sure if I need to get some sort of rack to raise all my plants above the floor

I am raised about 10 to 12 inches off the floor and this is the drain pan under the tray, pump it out about every two days, been leaving some in the pan too help the humidity in the tent, been very low.
This holds about 10 to 12 gallons.

Using 10gallon res with a $20 submersible pump on a digital timer. (Timer must go down to seconds, not just minutes.)

Aqarium manifolds. They work for me. Each port fully adjustable. I prefer heavier flow vs drip.

Tim I really like those green drip pans, I guess they could be called that. Do they seem to fill evenly?

They drain quickly. A little attention to making them level helps for even coverage. My pots are already at a slight angle in the tray.
The clips are awesome.

I really like that set up how did you say you ran your drain for that? Do you think those would be better than something like Hydra halos?

Those Apollo drip manifolds are great. I tried one on this current grow and I’m a fan. I like being able to adjust each line.

Am concerned about gunk buildup with the FN nutes I use, but so far so good, and only 5-6 more weeks left.

I’m not using drippers, just 2x 1/4” line to each pot.

@gr865 i love your idea of quick disconnects. Right now I use a clip to attach the drip lines to the lip of each pot, and move the clip if I need to move the pot, but yours is much more elegant.

I've been using one peristaltic pump per plant but I'm planning to significantly increase my plant count and it could get expensive.

If I understanding this right, the cheaper alternative is to get one pump with enough flow for all the plants.
Hook the pump up to a manifold, which is basically a large diameter pipe that will equalize the pressure to all the ports.
Each port has a small valve so I can adjust the pressure and get all the ports relatively even.
Hook all the ports up to tubing that's the same length.
Locate the manifold above the where the water comes out the tubing.
Stake the end of the tubing to to each pot/container.
Emitters are optional as long as you can spread the water evenly over the surface of each pot and do not vary the flow rate of that tube.

Am I getting this right?
