Out of genuine respect for everyone here, I may also have leave this discussion alone, I'm not here to posture myself above anyone, I love all of you, and I said what I said because I cared, I'm concerned with the well-being of others, and I am passionate about seeking out the truth, it's how I've always been.

The thread title is how to prepare for this epidemic, and protect our communities, it seems whether or not this virus is real or not, that food shortages are coming, Famine and starvation are headed our way, how am I doing what I can, I'm planting 1000 cups with various veggies planted in them to give to the public for free, I'm sacrificing all the soil I had saved for my future grow even to be able to complete this task, I've already got 100 cups done, I'm not selfish and I will sacrifice what ever I am able to fight against this virus and panic however I can. So if I have no meds, I accept it if I'm able to save family's & children and keep faith in humanity and God's blessings perpetuated.

So to anyone whom threatened me in anyway, just know your anger is misdirected (I forgive you), I'm a decent human being, I do what I'm able to be a positive link in the Human chain of life, I don't like wars and diseases just like anyone else with a Heart of (gold?) care, I respect others and what they feel they must do to protect themselves while this apparent pandemic unfolds, just because I believe the way I do doesn't mean I'd place anyone In harms way, and I would respect what ever laws are put in place to protect the safety of others, I know viruses are out there and would not do anything in any way to increase my or anyone else's chance of becoming sick, I will not take the feelings and beliefs of others for granted and I believe in protecting the well-being of others to be kept in high regard on such matters as this.

So I will be making my own thread in the spirituality section in the next week or so, I welcome anyone to come and contribute to my thread, it will revolve around consciousness and higher understanding of life, I was asked politely to make my own thread by DIY-HP-LED and that will show that I am able to respect his advice and continue to share information under my own responsibility and will power.

Anyone I upsetted in the other thread, I apologize, I lost my privilege to post there and will say that I'm sorry here and now, Sorry friend's I didn't mean to cause divide between us, and I wholeheartedly had good intentions when I commented there, I made a shallow joke and maybe went a bit overboard with a thing or two, I do recognize that and I am sorry, sincerely 100%.

Have a great weekend everyone.
Tell your navel I said goodbye.

I was looking into purchasing a plastic face shield to use over my N95 mask. There are none available at the Lowes. I looked on amazon and shipping has really slowed down. If i purchased one now they said it would not ship until mid may. I will keep looking around. My husband has a Darth Vader looking one i might use until i get one, but its really scary and i already made one patient cry when i wore my P100 . They just gonna have to deal.

the 3D printed plastic face masks a lot of folks are making now Is inspiring!. I wish i had the technology, materials and knowledge to make them to distribute. those are great because they cover your entire face and can help with the longevity of an N95 mask.
tractor supply, northern tool, grainger, harbor freight.

We will see how the McVentilator works, if Dyson can deliver, Donald will be interested too and I believe they can manufacture in America also, so you might get to try one out. Go to the web page for a video. The Chinese aren't stupid, they must have looked at this too, if it works in the UK, someone in China is gonna be shot, if they didn't do it too, they do manufacture shit. Lot's of governments are lining up I'll bet and I wonder what the Canadian Government thinks of the gizmo.

James Dyson designed a new ventilator in 10 days. He's making 15,000 for the pandemic fight

London (CNN Business)Dyson has received an order from the UK government for 10,000 ventilators to support efforts by the country's National Health Service to treat coronavirus patients.

James Dyson, the company's billionaire founder, confirmed the order in a letter to employees shared with CNN on Wednesday.

"A ventilator supports a patient who is no longer able to maintain their own airways, but sadly there is currently a significant shortage, both in the UK and other countries around the world," Dyson wrote.
Dyson said the company had designed and built an entirely new ventilator, called the "CoVent," since he received a call 10 days ago from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

"This new device can be manufactured quickly, efficiently and at volume," Dyson added, saying that the new ventilator has been designed to "address the specific needs" of coronavirus patients.
A spokesperson for the company, which is best known for its vacuum cleaners and hand dryers, said the ventilators would be ready by early April. Dyson, who has wealth worth $10 billion according to Bloomberg, wrote in his letter that he would also donate 5,000 units to the international effort to tackle the pandemic.
"The core challenge was how to design and deliver a new, sophisticated medical product in volume and in an extremely short space of time," he added. "The race is now on to get it into production."

Healthcare workers in many parts of the world are having trouble enough critical supplies, such as masks, gloves and ventilators, to deal with the influx of patients suffering from the highly contagious virus.

A second UK firm, Gtech, is also working to produce ventilators and has submitted two examples to the government for assessment. The company specializes in cordless vacuum cleaners and garden power tools.

Alok Sharma, the UK business minister, said Friday that ventilators made by Dyson and other suppliers will need to meet regulatory requirements before being used by the National Health Service.

Pressed on how quickly that can happen during an interview with BBC Radio 4, Sharma said the government wanted to see "prototypes coming forward in a matter of weeks before we move into large scale production."

"The critical point is to make sure that any machines that come forward actually meet the requirements and are safe," he added.
In the United States, Ford (F) has announced that it's working with 3M and GE Healthcare to produce medical equipment including ventilators and protective gear. GM (GM) and Tesla (TSLA) have also pledged to make ventilators.

There's a gut wrenching preview for America here from Spain and experts expect no break from it this summer unless we make one with our current actions.

They even had a picture of it. They even had shiny prototypes available for people to look at (but not touch),

Just like Dyson does

I'm just poking holes in those balloons you keep floating.

False hope and diverting resources away from people who can make a difference is harmful if not deadly in this crisis. To be honest, I get angry when I see crap like this because I've been in similar situations where the real solution was delayed so that an exec could report rosy fake bullshit to his boss. But in my case, only jobs were on the line. Although there were two suicides. So, yeah, that initiative by Boris is a nightmare for people working in the front lines of this disaster and Boris has blood on his hands.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I went to Airgas . Its a welding supply store. The nice young man gave me this plastic face shield and the last couple of masks he had for free! As a donation. He was all out of N95’s . He told me that someone bought $20,000 worth of N95 masks from their company 2 and a half months ago!!
I told him about the PPE shortage at the hospital and he was completely unaware of the dire situation. I had called one other store prior to finding him and they were all sold out, so i feel very lucky!
Have a safe and relaxing weekend.

If Dyson doesn't deliver he will be skinned alive, Thanos was a con from the get go run by a sociopath a female version of Trump. Dyson makes shit and has experience with mass production. Like I said I'm watching and it will be a hot topic when more experts have a chance to look at it and that will be soon. I think he makes gimmicks and always have, but right now they are hooking two and four patients up to one ventilator and that is not good at all, or so say the experts.

Donald is gonna be grasping for straws and this is on TV so he's gonna lunge for it to be a hero. Americans might end up testing this thing anyway!

No he won't.

I'd be willing to bet that his contract contains "hold harmless" clauses that protect him from lawsuits. I don't know why you aren't upset that Boris is using this initiative as a smoke screen for his blunders. Instead you keep posting the fake news. I don't get it.

I like it when you do, it makes for a better conversation and I learn too, it's the idea and lives that count. This is gonna be in the news, so we will see more of it, I'm keen to hear criticism of this gizmo, as I call it. I'm sure Donald will be floating it soon, call it an intuition... I'm skeptical too foggy, this isn't their line of work and I hope they had experienced ventilator people on the design team. I await more info and an expert evaluation, also I hope they don't break down in use!
