i am bad with the trim, too much goes to the trashbin.
i like their frost, especially on the back one.

@lukio , pls explain tipping :-) , may simply havent sawn some i should have.
the color itself they have now should be normal, just RO water since a few days.
they faded quick, seems i was low allready with nitrogen.

never made hash, i try to collect some good trim, may put in alcohol.

i see, i see.
yes anoyed me also a little, but wasnt so much.
could be simply a lil overfertilisation.
was a lil low in the beginning and then went a bit crazy.
highest runoff i had was EC 2.4.
the nutrient mix was low in N, lil higher in P and lots of K in flower.
i used MKP also, but not much, still, for quite long time.
will try a bit different next time and see.

other factor, this run the air was quite dry and i also had some bleaching, some tacoing should be from this too.
while have to say, when it tacos it gets frosty :-)

ah man, bubblebags are so good, dude. nothing goes to waste and the product is amazing. my bags are cheap and from amazon and i love them aha!

hmmm yeah everyones situation is different i guess, environment is definitely key. i get the taco sometimes too...ive never worked it out...thought it was fans, dry air, too much light...i just dont know but once its started they seem to wanna stay like that..for me anyway

yeah, need to equip me better, not fit with processing.

let me think.
even in the outer corners there is the tipping, the light covers very well, but the outer corners should have it less pronounced if its the light.
on the other side this strange plant was the hungriest and have the least tipping overall.
so ill guess its the nutrients.
btw that plant showed almost no tacos.... confusing.

i had tacoing in summer too, but there no tipping, hunidity was higher my EC where lower then.
tacoing was/is the light would say.

did the math to calc some watt average.
took month march n april, otherwise it would had included some veg time and would had looked better then it is.

April 47kwh Main
March 65
April 5 660nm
March 7
124kwh

31d+21dx12h
624h
124000 Watt /624h

gives us a 199W average for these flower months.
a very few Kwh for the UV and 730, i havent calced, its so little, less then 2Kwh, so not more then 202W average.

sure, i have used 4 strings used so far.
2 4000K mounted to the light frame and 2 strips red ziptied to the net.
2 of these strings are a nice fit for the outer perimeter of a sqare meter or 3x3 tent (4x4 is fine for sure too).

wiring was done soldering xt60 connectors to them.
its a bit messy but does the trick, made me a Y splitter for lower and upper strings.
otherwise you can also daisychain them, at least 2 of them.

theyre dirt cheap too.
only thing, better to remember the gender before mounting them.
while in the end it was ok as i f... up a y splitter this way also and it all worked out quite perfect ;-)

Mr cobshopgrow, nice healthy looking plants just mind and keep the nutrient strength down, if your feeding at say 2.4 ec then just imagine how high it actually is in the rootzone. So over feeding and then locking out nutrients. Never have I fed a plant more than EC1.6 with using tap water and a background EC0.4. Even at 1.6ec my plants will burn at the tips.
Im going to follow along to see how this green gelato turns out.
Take care..

thanks man, i agree EC1.6 is a good value, had probably my best results with this value last summer.
i never fed ec 2.4 ,last time maybe runoff where in that region sometime later in flower.
would really love to know which element cause burned tips, so many contradicting infos around.

the green gelatos above getting EC 1.4 atm and it looks like they need it, i also foilar epsom.
trying to give them 100-120ppm nitogen and above 50ppm magnesium.
seems to be not so good if i go to low with the Mg, so thats a good part of my EC too.
i always wonder, but it is what it is, they want epsom and the gelatos ar quite nitrgoen hungry so far would say.

i always get ill effects easily when i have my light to close n too strong.
even in the veg box you see above i hardly can give 25W total as the Cobs are too close.
They just need to stay healthy for a bit till transplant at 22W, all fine, the box made its job with very little kilowatt hours.

If your RO water is 0ec make that up to 0.4 - 0.5 calcium / magnesium and then your normal mix of nutes to 1.4 ec in total. If it gets warm in there then they are going to want to drink more water but I reckon you will no that any how. I check my run off once a week and if its ec1.4 in and 1.8 out I then feed the next couple of times at EC1.2 until I get back in the ball park of 1.4 etc, seems to work fine here. Light as you said will stress em big time I find the 800-900 ppfd and mine will be happy more and the problems start, im using passive intakes so not a sealed room with co2 etc. Would you not run some buddies, the white 95cri in the veg box, I reckon that will be the ticket Wall to wall and roof lighting.
Well that's me off to get some pics for diaries done before im too wasted to be arsed lol.
Take care... and catch you later.

thank you for your tips, have to say i am not 100% nutrients savy.
always good to hear some concrete numbers from a experienced grower.

am using RO, but no calmag as my nitrogen source is mainly calcium nitrate.
Calcinit, Hakaphos 5-20-30 base salt, epsom salt atm for these.
10l 5-6g Calcinit, 5-6g base salt, 3-4g epsom, EC 1-3-1.5.
PH is perfect after aeration for 12h, no PH- needed.

last run i had for quite some time a lower runoff then what went in, thats why i probably went lil too high.
maybe a better idea to start a little higher and not go as high later, in best case i dont need to chase anything, there i often loose.
can not say if that will happen, also no gurantue to not light stress them,
as you say from 800 and you need to be carefull.

am also just using some pretty uncontrolled enviroment, it should be ok atm, springtime.
in summer i have to fight the humidity, that could be a bummer if all else works out "fat".

this time i started them in 1l mini hempy perlite/vermiculite mix and the main hempy buckets will be 10l 100% hydroton.
watering first by hand, later by a small battery powered auto watering system, which can do all from 2h-72h, 1-100sec intervalls.
thats the plan at least.

i would like to equip the veg box with buddies.
the box just need a basic overhaul before this, basically need to spray paint the walls white then i can put new leds in.
or line up all with aluminium tape.
even have some spare eb3 slim strips i could use, 2 CXB3590 6500k (installed allready), a few 3000k EB3 slim and the 4000K buddies.
the reds are may ok too, as the 6500k are so blue anyway.
tons of options, i just hate the paint/tape action.
when the gelatos are out there the box will veg their clones, not very demanding.
