modular overkill led striplight build

lies. you know why. for asking redundant questions easily answered by a simple google search or just plain dumb ones not worthy of a longtime member.
The fact that YOU EVEN CARE enough to deem a comment necessary, says a lot about what kind of person you are.
As he explained, he has 3 lights, and 16 pages that didn't need to be scanned through when I could just verify with the Original poster if it's the same one as the beginning of the thread was about.
Don't defend yourself on this. Just stop posting about me?

am on the edge bleaching wise, but got a better feeling for it this time.

think the yield will be very fine if all goes well the next 2 weeks, Budrot etc.
they easily surpass the bic lighter test allready.

i rebuilded my striplight, containing 56 EB3 slim bridgelux strips, 3000k 80cri.
Killed some connectors during this action, their release mechanism can be a pain.
Anyway, it works!

The new frame is 80x80cm (31,5x31,5 inch) 20x20 t-slot profile, hung on all 4 corners.
Its for a 3x3 and/or a 3.33x3.33 (1 suqare meter).
Driven by a HLG 320 2100B, the strips are 14S 4P.
Maxing out the driver nicely with 153V at the strips.

Theyre mounted by 3d printed adapters , M3 nuts and nylon washers.

This will also isolate the strips from the frame.

The temparature of the strips are reaching just about 44 C @ 525mA with some low airflow, temps will be even better in flower when your fans are all running full.
This is meassured by a thermal cam, so should be realtive precise compared to these IR guns.

thermals where meassured after about 1h runtime.

30cm (ca. 12 inch) away i meassure about 55-60k lux.

Benefits are:
- efficient,according to the datasheet @ 700mA 187 l/w, i use 525mA only, so should be slightly above 187 (on paper).
- driver nicely utilized, ampere kept low
- wide n even spread
- modular, other colors can be added easily
- no heatsink needed
- lightweight, can be handled with ease
- nice price
- build fun

next ill add some color strips on seperate channels to play arround.

48 660nm leds, driven by a HLG 40 driver / or 72 660nm by a 60W HLG.
12 730nm leds
12 360-370nm leds

all on custom made strips, i am in to soldering.

I keep you updated and hope you like it :-)
really like it, I;d maybe rivet a piece of flatbar in over that centre bit with the wires to prevent something poking through there

yes, thats a idea.
ill may print me a cover oneday, have not much aluminium here.
so far there isnt much above which fits through the hole (filter and fan are too big), but youre right.
its also optically the weak spot.

theyre rippening fast, the top of the calyxes show the first amber and a lot seems to be cloudy trichomes allready.
theyre still drinking well.
Breeder say its a 55day strain.
i went down to 200W mainlight and 25W 660nm.
P1030746.JPG
especially the strange one is pretty ripe allready.
P1030749.JPG
corners producing nice buds also.P1030754.JPG
temps are reaching 28C peak and RH is about 50%

i went down to 180W mainlight and 20W 660nm on this square meter.
DSCF1044.JPG

3 plants 3 phenos.

one to the right is taking the longest, is the least frosty, but it made the biggest buds.
DSCF1037.JPG

the strange one isnt doing big flowers, but theyre frosty and there are a lot, will be ok.
DSCF1039.JPG

the plant in the back i gave the most space is pretty frosty.
DSCF1038.JPG

from now theyre on water for their last few days.
amber is setting in on the pistils as theyre going violet also.
They should be D54 now.

So is this decrease in wattage just for the last bit of flower purposeful then? Do you always dim the last 2 weeks or so?

they bleach easier now, they can not take that much anymore.
i had foxtailing in previous runs due too much light so i think its ok to go lil lower at the end.
well, you know, its not invented by me, many do with all kind of lights.
maybe its a bit more pronounced with our strong led lights so more purposeful.

btw i have a boveda buttler hanging in the canopy.
RH is between about 40-50% and temps are 22 night and 27C day.

Very cool. I used to use novena in my jars until I tried IntegraBoost pouches. The difference is night and day. The paper construction boveds uses, kills terps.

hm, can be that they kill some taste, i would have to try these integras one day.
of course i just use the packs in the jars, in the canopy i have the "butler" hygrometer.
its not new, but i like that unit and the logging function, especially i can see now at night what humidity i have.

fall is setting in.
looks like they get a bit of darkness and then its chop chop time.
so far i have used bout 163KWH for the whole grow in this tent, plus the veg time in my 25W veg box.
beside the light just a power saving EC fans, been used to vent the space filter the smell.
not much energy used for this grow really.
