Noob here with a lighting question

under I would just get a 315 cmh if heat aint the biggest prob for u.
I'll keep that in mind but already bought 2 of these just confused on if it would be overkill im thinking about getting a second 4 4 text so ill keep that in mind

also regardless I'll keep that in mind for my second tent I probably will go that way but I am looking for a answer on this would 2 of these LEDs be overkill?

Or are you saying get a 315 cmh and use that and the LEDs?
im saying I would only use the 315 cmh because it will be the best for the tent but I guess if u want u could technically run the blurples on the sides. but its either u do the cmh route or u go like qb's 30 watts per square foot is whats recommended. but many routes u can go down.

for those leds for flower u want to shoot for 50 watts a square foot. this is draw from the wall. depends on how much u wanna spend.

What would you use for a 4x4 tent?

For something on the cheap, they'll work ok. You'll get around 400 actual watts out of them, giving you around 45 per square foot. You won't be getting pound plants, but you'll do ok until you upgrade to better LED's. I've run similar lights in my 2 spaces for two years until I decided to go DIY and I've always done between 2-6 ounces dry per plant. Quality will not be at its peak, but if it's personal, it'll do.

If I bought a third one and ran all 3 I'd be in the ballpark of what I need or should I just get a good mars hydro light?

I just read this and from what it said I'm actually pretty close to what I need with 2 of these leds
Indeed. You should be fine.

Do more reading and research, including forums threads like this, to plan for your next light.

Hanging height limitations and heat management are a couple varaiables to consider...
