Has Smoking Gave You A Panic Attack?

What I found that pretty much completely stops the panic attacks is to get some high quality CBD Hemp flower (I get mine from Berkshire CBD and they ship it to my door) and I mix it 1 to 1 with with my weed.
Berkshire has a really nice cure on all their buds. I also really like https://eighthorseshemp.com/ and https://shadetreehempco.com/ for straight from the farm hemp. Although Shadetree is down right now because the owner is in healthcare and busy helping patients through the pandemic.

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out for sure. I purchased some Cherry Wine seeds to grow but they haven't had a great germination rate. I'm hoping to find a better source for the seeds so I can grow my own.

Yep. It has happened to me. I got a really bad panic attack a couple years ago after years of daily smoking.

Doesn't bother me anymore don't know why. Occasionally I'll get anxiety but I realize it's bullshit and it goes away. It's completely benign. I recommend smoking less until you get more comfortable getting higher.

Been smoking for 18 years now. The last few months I've been feeling weird after toking up. Faint, dizzy, tingling in arms. Feels like a stroke if I had to guess. I went to the hospital a couple months ago. They couldn't find anything wrong. Idk. Now when I get that feeling I tell myself I'm just tripping. Last a couple hours each time. Scary shit.
Do you do concentrates and does it make it worse?

I know exactly how you feel. I started smoking at 13, quit at 25 because I started feeling like my heart was beating erratically, panic attack like. That’s when I decided to call it quits. I thought I was gonna take a joint with me to the grave. Now I just grow for my wife medicinally. But I feel your pain. Weed did go through quite a transition from the seedy brown straight into chronic, so I thought it was just the potency of the weed, nope. I got my hands on some lower quality stuff and still the same feeling. That’s when I knew it was time to let it go. I’m now 40 and still have thoughts of trying again, but not at the expense of feeling that panic.

I think anxiety gets worse as we get older too...It did for me anyways, to the point I am prescribed xanax now...but I don't like to take it too often. Certain strains I can't smoke, or they give me terrible anxiety every time...I can't wake & bake any more either :(

Hell, this topic is even giving me anxiety!!

I have some Mass Medical Putang growing now....that's supposed to be a wonderful strain...ask me in June, lol...

Been smoking for like 20 years. Had a daughter in 2018 and since then I have been getting anxiety and panic attacks almost every time I smoke. Needless to say, I have cut back big time. Went from dabbing like half a g of concentrate and a few grams of flower a day to barely being able to take a few hits. It's crazy. Had a very similar experience to what you mentioned OP. Initially I thought I was having a heart attack, went to ER and everything was fine. Didn't realize it was from the cannabis so I continued smoking... I'd get anxiety and then smoke more to try and combat it, always worked before... but then come to find out it was the cannabis causing it. I occasionally had good days where I could smoke a few joints, but then other days I'd smoke a quarter of a spliff and then have 2-3 hours of straight panic... 200+ heart rate, elevated blood pressure... all the signs of a heart attack. I'm generally healthy, a little overweight... Doctor says its cause I went through so many life changes in a short period of time... over 12 months had my daughter, lost my Dad to cancer and my dog died of congestive heart failure. I didn't really believe him at first, but I can't think of any other ideas. From research I've done, I guess I could have damaged my CB1 receptors from smoking too much... My friend and I have done a lot of talking about it and we think that having my daughter opened up new pathways or something, and now the THC is connecting to the receptors in my Amygdala (apparently the part of your brain that deals with stress/anxiety etc.) I read somewhere that for whatever reason your body can start processing the THC differently and prioritize what parts of your endocannabinoid system get the THC first, or what receptors are the most receptive... I have no idea. lol. I still enjoy cannabis through site and smell, sometimes I'll do a fat dab of some really terpy shit and just not inhale as best I can. What I really miss are the terps. Hopefully one day they can come up with some conclusive information as to why this happens. In the meantime I am going to keep trying to figure it out. Been almost 2 months now where I haven't really smoked at all, trying to reset my system... funny part is that I still feel high all the time. lol.

*Edit: Doesn't matter what strain I smoke. Indica, Sativa, whatever... sometimes I can smoke one strain and I'm fine, the next day I get anxiety. And CBD does nothing for me at all.

Lifes better when your fucked up, always anxious just suppress that bullshit and act normal, did you think doing drugs was for those with an average disposition? Fuck no its going to drag you under, drugs are for people like scarface and Escobar not your average pussy blue collar worker with feelings and needs counselling because they saw a dead body.

Make the choice.

That’s pretty heartless, your username notwithstanding.

I think weed amplifies feelings, whether physical or emotional. If you have underlying anxiety, the weed can bring it out. I went through it a few years ago, and now that I have my anxiety under control, I can smoke again. And you should work hard to get it under control as anxiety can ruin your health and bring on other conditions.

The other thing is when you do go w/o smoking / using THC for a while, you lose your tolerance....Like I personally can'tt dab any more as it's instant anxiety for me. I also can no longer "wake & bake", unless maybe on vacation.

I'll bet once you get your anxiety under control, you will be able to smoke and enjoy it again, but you will need to ease back into it.

Having a child can be overwhelming....It's a ton of responsibility!! And my condolences on your losses!! What helped me the most was a daily exercise routine....first it was walking, then riding a bike...both help me relax, unwind, and clear my thoughts, and it is great way to jump start your brains endorphins. Best of luck to you!!

Yes. Twice. Once about 20 years ago, panicked, hyperventalated and blacked out. Girlfriend was shook. Unknown strain/thc%
Then about 4 years ago, panicked, laid down and cried myself to sleep thinking about how I fucked up my whole life. Hilarious now but not at the time. Sativa leaning cross/thc high 20s. Both times took hours to recover.
Now I smoke or vape indica and indica leaning and dont go above 22-23%
but I tried vaping a distillate a few months back and pewwww! to the MOON! Super high, no downside.
