Is it better to grow a lot of untrained plants or fewer trained plants?

I’m wondering if I’d get faster and higher end of year yields if I didn’t train my plants and just added more.. I have a 2x2 grow tent I use to try new things and noticed the one plant I had from seed that was untrained out of the 5 was the biggest and fattest. It looks like one big corn dog. Meanwhile the other plants that were re-vegged looked a little more than half the size of the one from seed. How much percentage wise do you think the plant slows down in growth every time you top it? Dos anyone have any experience that could share there story and give me some in-site? ( also these ones kinda got neglected this grow could have bin a lot better )

People grow 12/12 from seed and cram plants in 1 gallon containers. You can get 1 -2 ounces maybe more per plant depending on lighting, environment, growing skill, etc... But instead of worrying about that you need to learn how to keep your plants healthy. What happened to those? What did you feed them?

I just got lazy and didn’t pay too much attention I was more focus on my 8x3 outside I made my self. Just ordered an 8x8x9 With a light mover. What happened was I got lazy started feeding them less and gave them un Ph tap water. Then tords the end I just started giving them un ph fish and kelp fertilizer but next grow I’m putting 8 plants in a one gallon pot all from seed lined up against the walls of the tent leaving a free space in the middle of the 2x2 and using coco for the first time. Also I’m switching all my nutes to organic with the exception of my PGRs. Those ones did not get PGRs though. The ones that did outside look so big and fat! It doesn’t look natural at all. If I where a plant those girls in my 8x3 would fuck me up no doubt! There just scary looking. Later I’m introducing a humidifier and co2 and hopefully fill the 8x8x9 with coco too once I get comfortable.

Ehh in my experience in the past 2 serious grows, one was trained (topping) and the other grow was not. Both literally had the same ratio of male to female (6 male to 4 female) so in this example, I don't think that it matters if you do either, but trust me if you want yields, you will want to top it or at least LST.
