What was your first outdoor yield?

Hey all, first time growing and growing outdoors but just curious of how everyone’s first outdoor grow went and the yield. I didn’t think I’d do so well so I germinated a lot of seeds and now have 11 plants. Never would I have thought I’d be doing so well for my first time growing!

Two things:
Yield can be huge, if you do it right. Especially during flower, when problems can creep real quick. I only grow outside, and my girls can reach 7 ft easily.

With that many plants, you better make sure you pull ALL the males. You should be already on top of that.

My first grow was close to a pound per plant. I got super lucky with guessing sex and not letting males fuck my girls up.

After a number of small scale indoor grows I finally went outdoors last year (became legal), netted roughly a pound off three plants in 9 gallon pots (had to toss some flower where I had mold issues in the late season morning fog). The seeds were pushing 15 years old and I put them out fairly late, I was more than satisfied for my first try.

Seeds were feminized thank goodness. I wanted to grow them all in solo cups to keep them small and odor minimal but I surprised myself and they just kept getting bigger so I got bigger containers but I need to slow down. Living in a townhouse growing CBD with a license but still. When I walk out back I can smell the plants a little and I don’t even think they’re flowering yet.

That’s impressive. I’m very curious on how much I’ll be harvesting when the time comes. I just put two 3 gal fabric pots into big plastic pots. I’m honestly surprised how well I’m doing with this being my first growing any type of cannabis.

They look good, probably the strain but kinda tall for not that much sidebranching, so far? How old are they?

Or maybe they're still pretty small and I'm imagining great heights.

Thank you for the compliment and 14 weeks started from seed. I fimmed once because I was nervous about messing with the plant too much. Strain is Green Lightning from High Alpine Genetics.

I got 26 quart jars of buds from my first 4 plants, all BCC clones grown in 10gal. pots (2 hard pots and 2 soft pots)

Yield was about the same between the hard and soft pots, although the hard-potted plants finished a little earlier

Very impressive. I have random size pots with some fabric pots mixed in. Original I wanted to keep everything small because of limited space but I’m VERY tempted to move what I can it to the remaining fabric pots I have.

Saw the plants you're growing are CBD dominant plants, that might help explain the structure. Will be interested to see how yours turn out.

Nice plants first time grower here too! I understand that feeling too I started out with three clones and ended up with 6 lol To be honest I would of had 4 originally but I ended up frying one clone after one week that’s what motivated me to get the other three. Growing them in 25 gallon fabric pots.

You and me both. Definitely going to top/fim next go round and LST. Was definitely nervous doing anything with this being my first time

Goodness! You definitely have me beat! The fabric pots I have are only 3 gallons. I want to keep everything small but I want to get the most out of my plants. Everything started in solo cups and that was the initial plan but that changed fast

My first and only outdoor grow, I humped about 250kilos of soil half way up a cliff.
Dug 3 huge holes and stuck an auto in each one.
They ended up 3-4 feet tall. All went well untill they hit bloom then something ate them. Hope the bastard choked :(

My first "indoor sunshine" grow was not very good, I used cheap potting soil with no nutes....got about 20 grams or so

I didn't defoliate this plant....that's an all natural defoliation
