Humidity question.

So currently my grow hovers anywhere between 35% and 50% humidity. My girls are seedlings as of right now. Question is do I need to increase humidity for my girls or are they ok in their current situation also temps get to about 82f as a high. And don't drop below 75f with lights off. Any suggestions or knowledge is appreciated.

I don't do anything to control my humidity. It's really dry here so it's usually well below 30%. It's 30 right now, but that's because it's a little more humid than normal. I exhaust outside, so if I ran a humidifier it would just get sucked out anyways. It's usually anywhere between 15-35%. It's not ideal, but it can be done.

Interesting well if that's the gospel I'm way off. I figured I might have to add a humidifier as I live in a desert.

Well that's comforting I was worried I'm hurting them. I just want to give the ladies the best. Plus I figure once I start watering heavier than I am now the humidity in the tent will increase... Do you notice any increase on the days you water?

Ya, it goes up a tiny bit, and the heat goes down a little. I do have to water a lot though. I also use plastic pots since the fabric dries out even faster. It's too bad because I love the fabric ones and have $100 worth in a box upstairs, lol. If I could get the RH up a little without turning off the exhaust fan that vents outside, I would. I know I could set it up on a controller, but I want to keep it running 24/7.

What gospel, the reference? Na but you need to see what they refer to ideal imo. My humidity ranged from 25 to 70 in the past 4 months and I’m happy at 40-50 right now as that’s the best I could do without throwing the 70 pint on top of the plants

Not gossip... Gospel meaning it is from the good book. I have no doubts that the information provided is the optimal humidity to temps.

Well I'll definitely have to watch out for the drying out too fast as I am using fabric pots

Since they drink faster, you might want to feed it a little less too.
I was thinking the same thing I was going to ask you if you space out the feedings due to it. I'm sure if you feed ever watering even if it was 1/4 strength you might build up salts locking out the poor girls huh?.....I'm new to growing indoors and in pots normally I'm a in the ground kinda guy. Well at least with vegetables. first time growing cannabis. Normal for myself in ground gardening if vegetables like corn and tomatoes and zukes pumpkins what ever. I inject fertilizer directly into the drip system I run. And I do it on every watering. But the trick is miniscule amounts. Fertigation is a beautiful thing in the garden. One day I'd love to try outdoor cannabis...

I grow organically. I'm doing no-till in 15 gal pots, and mostly just top dress with dry amendments, and give plain water.

Nice what amendments do you use if you don't mind me asking?
I have a crap load of stuff I got from Build a Soil. I actually just got a 25 lb bucket of Craft Blend since I was running low, but I've got all kinds of other stuff too. Vermicompost, chicken shit, guano, Gro-Kashi, and a shit load of other stuff. My basement is full of the shit now, lol. If you decide to get something from BAS, I could give you a code for $5 off.

There's lots of other organic dry amendments that are good too. Fox Farms makes a couple good ones, and there's a Dr Earth or something. There's a bunch that are decent.

Right on might try an all organic grow in the future for now I'm just trying to get my first one to harvest lol

How many plants do you have, area? When the canopy fills out, the humidity at light off is going to spike. You might fight to find the spot now but will most likely be using dehumidification later. If I had to pick, I will always pick dryer over too humid at any point in the grow. If you are in a desert, I’m not familiar with the climate, out winters here are about 20-30%, this summer has been humid, if I don’t run a 70 pint right now, it spikes to 70 plus lights off, the lights pull it down to 45-50 for the 12 hours then I run the dehumidifier again for the other 12. I will have to use a fogger in winter. This is running hydro with tubs sweating.

My humidity barely rises during lights out, but one of my exhausts goes outside.

My climate is extremely dry and hot... Most days the snakes won't move until dark or early morning lol

I’m exhausting 500cfm outside as well 24/7, i added it during early flower, new room and being new hydro, wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s dense in there too. The dehumidifier is in the lung room for the intake. I run negative pressure in the whole area, not helping but it’s working out. There’s a pic of the setup in my journal. I’m chopping some tonight.
