Chopping the very starting leaves

So I had 4 autos and two of them had there very starting spikey leaves droop for about a week. Everything else is fine just those very first leaves. I trimmed both off, and on my others as well. Do you think this was a problem?

Nothing else is wrong tho. Everything looks healthy, just the very bottom single spike leaf. You know the first two spike leafs with the 2 round leafs. I didn't do the round ones, just the spike

Just hope I didn't shock them by trimming those two starting leaves. Just thought why keep them.

I've had even the cotyledons (the first round ones that come with the seed) stay healthy at 3 or 4 weeks until the stem just gets too big and sheds them naturally. At this stage in growth, you want an exponential increase in leaf area because that will continue to lead to an exponential increase in growth rate and biomass accumulation. I don't think picking off the first true leaves are going to make that much of a difference because they're pretty small compared to the next node of 3-leaflet leaves, but keeping them at that stage allows you to gage the overall health of the plants (IME). It would have been better if you posted a photo of the issue with your first leaves because in such a young plant it's likely something that's going on that may affect future growth - or maybe not. Just a note for next time

Thats prob what I will do next time. I know nothing is wrong with them, but prob will just let them shed of naturally. Or who knows mabe a discovered a master way to boost your autoflower yields!!!

As soon as I get 5 nodes, I remove everything under 4 on my autos because it never amounts to squat.

Have you done many auto grows doing that? Not that I don't believe you, I just here people saying how bad it is

I only top if I'm going to quadline, sixline or mainline and still remove under 4. Otherwise it's LST all the way around the pot.
