I’m curious on what people use for a soil blend additives and ratios I plan on doing 24 outdoor this next season I did all organic this season with decent results but I used some pretty expensive soil sohum I’m looking to getting away from that and amending my own soil mixture. I’ve used compost teas and used benificial fungus other then that just straight r.o and rain water with an organic flowers top dressing fert any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

My soil mix is on page 11 of mt journal. I use it for indoor, outdoor, potted and in ground with impressive results requiring minimum additional inputs. Although I push everything. It is not needed with this and tap water between 6.2 and 7.0. Organic except a touch of urea in my water solubles. If of interes? Just ask. Best wishes.

I put my garden to bed first week of Nov, I mulched several tree varieties of leaves with my riding lawn mower, added some grass clippings and put a 2-3” layer on all my beds, then I spread a 3-4” of compost on top of that and covered the beds heavy duty black weed barrier. I’ll just let that cook and go to work until I plant straight into it in May!

pretty much that. have a sort of compost brewing. i tend to add some beach sand to my garden or pots. depending on the soil if you mix enough sand in it drains fairly decent.
