Is it possible to decarboxylate before extracting with butane, or will it mess something up?

Gonna fill a thermos with trim and pure butane, shake it up for a bit, strain through a coffee filter into something that fit in the rice cooker to boil off butane.
Does this seem like a good plan?

Yes, but it is easier after extraction.
